Thanks to asdfg11 for the countdown timer!

General Info About Races: These races are a little different from our usual endurance races. Because the races will be in a public room open to everyone, car damage will be on light. ABS will be the only assist available as usual. We're holding these short races in preparation for an 8 or 10 race series in the future.

Each race will be 5 to 10 minutes long and you will have a minute or so between each race to fine tune your car. These short races will go on for a couple weeks to hammer out the specs for the cars. I hope you will join us!

We also enjoy racing real life cars, and offer a wide range of racing experiences, from VW Buses to F1's, some tuned, some untuned, you name it. Feel free to check out the Facebook page ( http://tinyurl.com/GT5-LPP ) to post race suggestions and say hello!

Other Notes: The GTPlanet Online Racing Rules & Guidelines applies with some changes/additions.
  1. Bump drafting is allowed where it makes sense.
  2. Keep racing on the track, regardless of incident, unless cars behind you are approaching. Time, depending on severity of incident, will be added to your final race time once complaints are filed and replays checked. If you decide to allow the other driver(s) to pass because of a collision, be absolutely sure that you will not be in the way of other drivers. When in doubt, keep racing.
  3. Drivers that are to be lapped are under no obligations to move out of the way, as long as they are not intentionally blocking. Most tracks have many sections to overtake. If you're faster, you'll find a way to pass.
  4. Anyone found violating the car regulations will be harshly penalized, i.e. kicked from the room. "I didn't know" is not a valid reason.
  5. Track boundaries are generally the same as those enforced by the GT5 penalty system and as defined by section 16: Offline Racing in the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules linked above. See the illustration below. Occasional unintended incursions will be tolerated, particularly if you visibly attempt to correct a bad line by braking, etc. or you have lost control of your vehicle. Patterns of abuse will not be tolerated, and complaints will be investigated as noted in #2 above.

Oh well, it's still a great car. I've yet to test the Amuse though. I'll make a decision and let you know what I find. See if the cars are even.

Please feel free to join. The more the merrier! I'll post the room number at least 15 minutes before the start time.

With all the tuning options on the Amuse (besides engine stages) the torque comes out to be 330lb-ft before break in @386hp

I'll see what kind of settings I have on later today. I might have posted the wrong settings.

I added racing exhaust and upgrades to the intake. It's torque was a good deal lower than the RX7's (because it has a turbo).

This is a great deal. Put me in. PSN "livtiludye". RX7. But where is the 1st run to take place before track vote begin .Or is that the intent . No set ups just run what brung?

Nothing to officially set positions before first race. You can come early and run laps and that will usually get you up into position if no one else has set times.

As far as the Amuse goes, my Amuse is still around 315 ft-lb torque with every upgrade except engine stages. Maybe mine is outdated or something lol.

Hope to see you guys Friday, Dominic.

Yeah, maybe I don't have the oil change lol. Thanks for the tip.

Just wanted to give you advance notice that I might not be online tonight because of connection issues. In case I'm not online, please add "BRADKINDER" to your friends list. Just put "Friday Race" in the subject or something.

I'm gonna get a new router and see if that helps any.

Are you still having connection issues?

I got a new router, but I'm not sure if the router was the problem.

Not sure really. I'd just keep losing connection every so often and sometimes I'd have problem just accessing the router, regardless of the internet connection.

Anyway, room should be open in half an hour.

I got home too late to enter this. How was the race? I'm betting towards an RX-7 victory.
