Realism and Sim Tires

Wow, sim tires are so realistic and hard to drive with. That motivated me to restart my GT2 game and drive COMPLETELY on sims. And guess what?

JEBUS CHRIST! I suck so damn much. Its not even funny how much I slide and hit walls.

Well they do kind of compare the the standard grip settings of GT3, thats why they are more realistic. And again, I suck with them. I used to rape those AI cars, but now my Efini III RX7 can almost get beaten by a Lupo. So to get the real feel of driving, and make the most out of your GT2, drive completely with sim tires.

I disagree that the sim tires are necessarily more realistic for grip driving. They are actually more suited for drifting. I use sim tires on my drift cars in the stock to 300hp range. I would say that the tires are pretty well matched in the game to their real life counterparts, and offer a relatively realistic impression of driver input.;)

Well, it does say the sim tires are for profesionals. And if i can drive very good wit dem, then I AM PRO. lol. But youre right, many of my friends say i cant beat the game using just sim tires. I will someday. I started that mission today. And as soon as i am done, ill notify you.

sims still feel very different to real tyres, best example i can think of is how FWD cars actually hook in harder under power, that's simply not how they behave in the real world. say hello understeer if you boot it. GT3 gets it right.

hey wudya know, after 5 hours of playin GT2 rollin on Sims i've actually gotten quite good in my opinion. My car was an efini RX7 and it actually beat the muscle car race in seatle! Amazing
! COnsidering it was rollin on sims.

I hav tried but failed miserably. Stupid EFini III cant grip the track for beans. Burnsout on second gear. Waste of time. I restarted my game again due to fustration, and am going to drive good gripping cars.

I tried the challenge of Sim Tires, and I hated it.

The best I could do was race a S2000 GT1 against the [R] S2000 race. The brakes act as if they are locking up, turn-in is nearly impossible, and acceleration out of a corner is quite difficult.

Normal tires are difficult enough for anything with more than 400hp.

As weird as it might seem, my prelude baby handles much better than that forsaken FC. Stupid FC! Prelude all the way! Sim tires are successful on FF cars so far in my experience. 4wd seems to offer more advantages. I cleared this much in my restart using a prelude with sim tires:

Sunday Cup:
Tahiti
High Speed Ring

FF Challenge:
Tahiti

Historic Car:
Rome Full Circuit(5th) :''(
