For road courses I think we should close the pits when the caution comes out, and open them at the end of the first caution lap. Everyone will easily have enough time to catch back up to go double file.

Yeah I think that would work fine, the road tracks are fairly long so there'll be time. I really can't wait to get a wheel, it will be much easier to drive consistently on ovals. Are you DS3 or wheel user Joe?

I'm a DS3 user (I can't seem to get used to using buttons other than X and [] for gas/brakes either >_>). I'm fairly consistant on ovals. For Daytona I set the controller sensitivity to -2, which helps with smoothness, and I'm fine on Indy, though -1 may help.

Wow same here, I've always used X and [] ever since I started playing GT games, it just feels right haha. I'll probably set mine to -2 at Daytona aswell, won't get a chance to test out my DFGT unfortunately in this series as I'm getting it for christmas.

DFGT is a great wheel and makes the game so much better. I was good with the DS3 but could never go back now, roll on christmas :)

That's reassuring, was hearing mixed reviews. I simply can't afford a G27 cause I'm 14. And I'm a gamer. Which means I'm permanently out of pocket :P Can't wait to get my hands on it!

This. For sure. Word perfect.

DFGT is the way to go for a first wheel. I had the GT4 wheel that I used for 4-5 years between GT4 and PC sims like rFactor and GTR2. I even used it for iRacing. Id actually probably still have it if I didn't win the new GT5 wheel from the GT Academy.

You won a wheel from GT Academy? :embarrassed: wow

Yeah I was top 5 in the nation. I would have gone to Orlando to compete for the contract with Nissan but I still had 3 weeks of college left. It was either drop my last block and have to wait another year to take one 3 week course or back out and finish school. Believe me I really wanted to go but my Dad was helping pay for school so I had to back out. I really hope they hold another US GT Academy next year so I can compete for a racing contract.

"Gentleman I give you our US series champion!" Haha :P That's unbelievable mate, good luck next time around.

Okay, he automatically has the championship won :P

Good job though man and good luck next time! :D And did they ever mention you on the GT academy on TV?

Well I'm glad we have a separate UK series put it that way, good luck Cowboys! :P Think we're taking a break from testing etc. as Joe's moving house.

Yep, I probably won't be online on anything for a week or two after this post. Hopefully I have less connection issues on GT5 there than here.

Haha I'm not always fast. No they won't mention me on tv because I never went. Thanks for the wishes though. And don't assume I'll automatically win the championship. Anything can happen and I have been known to miss setups occasionally going with something too aggressive that bites me on a long stint.

Well I'm just testing my setups now, like you said I'm trying to find something I'll be consistent with. I don't want to be fighting with the car for over an hour in the races :P The oval races should be pretty close, I'm thinking they'll be photo finishes haha.

I'm back already. Got about half our stuff moved today, and internet is already up, despite BT saying it'd be up tomorrow.

Alright lads, let me know when you would like to run throught the safety car procedure. It will be good if we can run through it soon and then again before the first race to iron out any problems. I am available Friday at 10pm or Monday9pm/Wednesday 10pm next week too :)

Well Friday is good for me, if Joe is all set up by then we're good to go 👍

EDIT: Just slightly off topic, I am unbelievably happy they're releasing DLC, can't wait! :D

Cool, send me a PM at 10pm, ill be mixed racing till then.
We just started chatting about this on the FGTC thread, I am praying for only a few small things-
Seattle Track
Apricot Hill
Mid Field Raceway
A couple of new preferably real world tracks
A fix for connection problems
Ariel Atom V8
Koenisegg CCX
A black FGT and to make them premium (I know this bit wont happen but it would be cool)

Okay, i'll wait till Joe sees this and ask. And yes, more city tracks and real world circuits *coughs* SPA! *coughs* would be great. Also being a NASCAR fan, I'd love a short oval track such as Bristol Speedway, although this almost definitely won't happen :P

I am going to try and forget about the DLC until its out, doing anything else is courting dissapointment.

I'd like to see most GT4 tracks return, apart from a couple of the city courses that I didn't like (I remember that Hong Kong was one), and I'd also like to see Complex String from GT3 return.

Friday at about 10 should be ok, though my internet has been a bit off at the moment, going through varying speeds over the course of 5 minutes.

Wasn't there a Koenigsegg that was modeled released before GT5 in photomode?
