Hello!

Wanted to make it clear that this far it looks like a huge disappointment, wanna know why? Easy, GT sport will give us opportunity to defend our country and manufacturer, I see it like something similar to GT Academy update in GT6... and sadly, for most of the world it will NOT WORK! because SONY isnt supporting even half of the word.. even Europe is not fully supported, Half of PSN people are using fake accounts, so they cant really participate in any of this stuff, we cant even buy legally games on PSN and we all are using fake country flags... so reality behind it is really different! (in my case its Baltics, if you wondering Latvia, to be specific, also neighbour countries are not included etc. )

So this means that for me this game is 100% pointless.. I would be happy to see some manual in game country flag selection at least like in rally games.. but somehow, Sony and PD ignore that since 2006 when PS3 released.. still waiting to create my own normal "not fake" account!

Point is that PD is lying about it all.. it will be a disaster if they dont make proper support, what point is for all that competition if only minimum amount of players can participate!? just make the game playable for all world and dont left behind your hardcore fans or you will lost it all together! Just like with GTplanet is ruined... its infested with kids and arcade players now.. also making commercials and limiting "unwanted" comments in main page, what a disaster! Still hopes up that there still are normal people who will let the truth out, because free speech here now is very limited, so be careful!

Hopes up for GT to get back on track like it should be, less of this commercialized FIA GT stuff and more hardcore gameplay with less POP culture thingy's, with more classic cars and historically important tracks!

...Hmm, another thread with unabashed ranting potential, eh? Careful now, we don't have 100% clue on why Sony failed to set up a working PSN on some territories, so accusing them of outright failure is a bit premature, imo.

And since we have barely any concrete info other than some marketing hyperbole to go on, we don't know how GTS will turn out either.

I'd say, wait a little longer until more info is released. Then start your rants after.

👍 :P

Im fine.. and I am used to be bashed for saying too much truth! so I really DONT CARE about you defending it not knowing much more yourself! ;)

I just want make it clear, that I dont want to WAIT to see it for myself how GT sports sucks.. I want to prevent it from happening in the first place, thats why im here!

I know too many people with fake accounts, in my case half of my PSN friend list have fake accounts.. is that normal to you? no, I think not.. you may live in a popular country and have everything set up.. while me and my buddies have to WAIT! for how long? waiting since 2006!

I could make a local PSN but sadly stuff like PS Store, PS+...etc isn't possible to access so it's useless...which's pissing me off...🤬

I understand your frustration. Indonesia wasn't available when I made my account 8 years ago and I had to use another country. Now Indonesia is available but since all of my games, trophies and DLCs are on my fake account I can't be bothered to change and start over.

However...

You do know that which countries PD is able to include is limited by PSN right? So if you want to boycott, take it up with Sony Entertainment, not PD. Preventing the game isn't gonna do much (good luck with that).

In fact, the reason why a country isn't included might not be even Sony's fault...

Why isn't PlayStation Store available in my country?
This article explains why you may not have access to PlayStation Store from your geographical location.

Sony Entertainment Network is constantly working to bring products and services to as many countries as possible. This has enabled Sony Entertainment Network to bring our network services to more than 60 countries across the world and PlayStation Store is available in more than half of these countries. We appreciate that as some services are available only via PlayStation Store, some of our customers who do not have access may be frustrated by this. We regret that we are unable to introduce PlayStation Store in some countries at this time and we hope that explaining some of the reasons for this will go some way to lessening your frustration.

The set-up of new stores requires significant investment and to cater to so many markets we have to consider a range of factors, including customer demand, PlayStation ownership, Sony Entertainment Network usage and to a large degree local domestic broadband cost and speed. Where these factors may limit the benefits to customers of PlayStation Store, this will delay its introduction.

Additionally each country has its own regulations and laws governing online services with which we must comply when introducing a new store. This means that we can only launch stores in countries where it is possible to do so. We have found that this issue has specifically delayed plans to open PlayStation Store in a number of countries.

We are doing everything we can to bring PlayStation Store to your country and we will let you know via PlayStation.com as soon as we open a version of PlayStation Store in your country.

Besides, at this point we know very little about how the country cup will work. You could probably race under your fake account, and if you win the FIA will still recognize your native country at the prize giving ceremony.

I think you should be focused on trying to win the competition first, then sort out the country issues later ;)
