Shift was far from awesome, the tires worked like poo, the upgrades were decent but the online was jumpy even with the best connection. If they can fix that and make the cars handle closer to reality this will be a good game. This is more the Supercar crowd than GT5 is. I love GT, but I'm always open to play other racing games. The only people who care about how they compare is the one's that can't afford both. I can. So I will look into this, looking forward to upgrading cars that I can't in GT5. If GT6 comes out with livery editor, more body kits, more premium or only premium cars but less count (GT3) and have a bit more supercars, it'll be great. Just bring back the older tracks like Seattle and the other special stage routes, Rome etc. That said I look forward to Shift 2. As long as the cars handle appropriately. Shift 1 had a very weird feeling.

We all took a gamble with pretty much any game that gets in our hands. Reviews and word of mouth can only do so much. Its your own perception of the game that matters. I have only been flowing this release for about 3 weeks now. I followed GT5 for a year. I have seen more I am more confident in SMS delivering than what the passive approach of PD has delivered. PD let the fans down. And now they will pay for their actions. No more top dog for them. They got competition now.

It will be good and very hilarious to see all the doubters and haters of Shift actually give the game a shot and basically abandon GT5. I am disguised to a degree in what we got in 5 years.

Don't get me wrong, I have loved GT since GT1 but I can't stick with them anymore. Its time to expand my horizon.

Now imagine how i feel about gt5 after just playing 12h to finish tsukuba 9h endurance event and in the end the game locks in auto-pilot after the last lap... 12 wasted for literally NOTHING.

It wasn't even fun... one have time to do things like letting the car in 4th gear only, follow all the cars for at least 2 laps, try to make a lap in exactly 1m, race until gas ends - racing with just the rims is implicit here and at some point you struggle just to accelerate, try not to pass 6k/7 or 8 rpm.... you name it.

Shift2 can't arrive soon enough... I'm literally going Slightly Mad.

I'm literally going Slightly Mad.

Indeed. That makes two of us then, lol. By having the LE version on day one gives us permanent bonus race material. There is also suppose to be DLC already. What DLC and permanent bonus race material have we gotten with you know what.

In my experience with nfs shift, when you turn the wheel the car wants to drift - even when I don't want it to. Fortunately the pc version had a lot of mods available. The sound is definitely nice. I can't stand how the stupid dashboard blurs so much you can't read anything. I want to see some actual gameplay w/o a million cuts.
