Recording Videos HELP!!

I am trying to record a video off my computer.. I was wondering if there is some kind of program that records video off the computer and onto the hard drive directly?? do i have to get those cameras? or can i just let a program run in the background to record videos onto hard drive?

I'm a little confused here.... Are you trying to record video from your television or from when you play videogames? If for videogames, I'd suggest the free version of FRAPs at www.fraps.com . I'm not sure what you mean though.

oh.. is there another program like fraps that can capture at least 800x600 video???? dark age doesnt go that low to 640

The new version of Fraps supports higher resolutions, but I think you have to pay for it. Sorry.
