Well its taken me about a month but I've reworked the whole car and I just finished it. I took some pictures of it just to show you how it looks. The body still needs a little more work, 22mph into a wall doesn't do wonders for a car.

I put a new LRP Speed Control in it. Up to 7 turns and has reverse. BLue is Better...you'll see it all over the car.

Two new sets of tires. The ones on it are show rims (real chrome plated steel) and the other are super gripe foam tires.

Added some carbon fiber parts to it.

I put truck springs in the rear and touring car ones in the front.

This is just the guts of the car

And here it is with its shell on. Notice the electric tape....best way to fix damage :D. And its not real carbon fiber.

Thanks I put a lot of time and money in that thing. Now I just need to get racing.

I have a few. One of my best ones is probably my Viper GTS-R (Team Oreca Version) Pro Car or my McLaren GTR (made my own team and design). I raced the h*ll out of my Viper and need to do some work on it and replace some parts. One of my most Unique ones is my 2003 Subaru Rally Car and Focus Rally Car (were seperate gifts from my Grandfather). It took a while to put together but Its worth it (still not finished with the Focus). They are pretty cool. Came with a set of Dirt and Tarmac (rain and dry) tire set for each (the tire set is sold seperately I think), body kits, and the suspension is adjustable. Even though they dont have the Rally Kenya anymore, it came with body kits for it. They look surprisingly real. There was a professional photo taken of the Focus while it was moving (close up). At first you would think it was a picture of a REAL focus rally car moving along until you see the antenna (sp) :P...

[EDIT] Though I dont think tower hobbies sells them anymore, here is the address. They were made by Rallye Pro Scale Models. www.towerhobbies.com

BTW, that site is great for buying R/C's :)...

well to day I ran over to radio shack to get some cable and I got this idea. Why not put a lighting kit on the RC. So I picked up 4 red led lights and a switch. I instaled the red LEDs in the back, ran them to a switch, then hooked it to the speed controller for brake lights. The switch is for me just to turn them on with out running the car and they work off a seperate battery pack mounted on the body. I'll show you a picture tomarrow when I get home and show you this set up I;m trying to do.

And I like the rims I got on it. I think I paid to much for them though. The wheels and tires were close to a 100 bucks for the set up. I should have bought plastic chrome ones but I liked these ones better. I got some bronze racing ones to I'll show you those as well. There my real racing ones for out door tracks.

I did that once but on a Plastic model (ones that dont move). Put some in front and back. I might do an Underglow ;), but I dont think it would work good. Cant wait to see yours :D.

I dont know why but My stadium truck never works anymore. It happened one day when I was trying to jump over our car (ive done it before and it looks awesome :D ). I have a landing ramp and it lands relatively the same as when it lands in a race like everyone else. It landed the same as always and just shut off. I replaced parts, overhauled the whole thing and rebuilt it twice and cant seem to find the problem. Got any ideas since Im out of them...

Well lets see it could be a ton of things. It happened to my friends car after he hit a wall pretty hard and his problem was he blew the switch up so not power would move.

Another thing might be your battery connection could be bad try replacing it. But without actually looking at it I'm not a 100% sure on whats wrong. Try taking it to your local hobby shop and see what they got to say.

As for the lights I wanted some in the front but since its hooked up for brake lights they only would have gone on when I hit the brakes. That would have looked odd. Although it looks odd now since I have two red lens LEDs and two clear LEDs but hey what ever.

I'm looking into getting underbodies for a different body I looking into. I want a to get a new body badly since this one is about had it with the epoxy and electric tape. That how the front is mostly held on and I accidently put a hole in the front end today by driving it in my basement and having the slight problem of hitting a sharp pointy thing. I need to fix that now.

Well I have a gas powered Stadium truck, I only have one battery powered RC. I might have to replace it. I will take it to them and see what wrong tomorrow...

ya I don't know anything about gas powered cars.

Hey does anyone know anything about diffs? I kinda sorta locked my rear one up and now I can get the rear wheels to move. The tires smoked pretty good when the tires locked up at about 30mph.

My Uncle Bill is still teaching me with the differentials. I dont know about electric R/C's much so I dont know if the diffs are the same. I have one I practice with so if I blow it I always have my regular, non tuned diff because I screwed up my old street stadium truck (road course). The diff blew and all four wheels locked (4WD)...

check out this R/c

Its most likely an expensive body on a cheap platform.

I just ran to the hobby shop and bought a new rear diff. When I opened up the rear I found that the diff had shattered...damn plastic. I got an aluminium one now so it won't be messing up.

Looks too plasticy. I have only one plastic body. The rest are either Aluminum paneled (very light and doesnt crack), or this other stuff (forgot the name)...

^ Yeah that's it. The word just wouldnt come to mind. Its reinforced Lexan. I paint them to look like metal. I'd take a picture but with the camera I got you couldnt tell the difference...

Naa I had to pay extra for it. Reinforced with this polamer stuff, bounces right back :). I added some extra slips of light alluminum where it will most likely hit something (ex. front bumper)...

I don't know the guy told me it was reinforced but he most likly lied to me when I bought the body. Oh well I'll just keep using electric tape and epoxy.

Buy some Resin (or whatever its called that they use in fibre glass and sufboards). It may be a little expensive sometimes but its worth it. Apply a little to the underneath of the body. That's what I did, works great :). I broke my friends Civic (looked like a ricer) when I ran into him. Cracked his right down the side, halfway through. Nothing really happend to mine ...
