So I've been looking around and I have yet to find a reputable looking place to get my hands on the USA Senna Blu-Ray release.

Google shopping only finds one retailer with the wrong release date listed...
Amazon only has a shady 3rd party.
The formula1 store is only region 2 PAL.

I'm getting so tired of all the effort it takes to see this movie outside Europe.
Didn't come to a theater within 500 miles of me... and now the blu-ray is proving elusive too. :ouch:

anyone know a source??

All of Universal Studio's home Blu-Ray releases are region free. And since Senna is a Universal release, it's also region free.;)

So any copy should be alright.👍

It is an odd way of not promoting F1 here stateside, if I do say so myself. I mean, the whole reason why that movie was getting buzz like it did here was because of Top Gear, and to not have a wider release than it did in the states is a tragegy.

It's a documentary so release dates are usually kind of messed up(it's been staggered internationally, so it's not just the U.S.).

Anyways.

SENNA will be available on iTunes in the US mid December. The DVD / Bluray release will be early 2012. Antonio Pinto's Soundtrack is already available digitally.

Good to hear it's coming here on Blu-Ray early 2012 though. A must-buy. I had to look everywhere for the copy I have and the subtitles are terrible. I hope the Blu-Ray has the theatrical and the extended version on it.

Just released for Rent on iTunes, I'm downloading it now!
$4.99, but I THINK you can only watch it once.

When you rent a movie from iTunes, you have 30 days to watch it. But once you start it, you have 24 hours to finish it.

To follow up on an earlier post of mine concerning region locking. A friend of mine bought a region 2 copy of Senna on Blu-Ray from a site in the UK. It played just fine on his Region 1 Blu Ray player. So I guess it is region free.

Remember, the problem isn't just the region. If region 2 discs work for you, that's fine, you also have to make sure they have the correct subtitles. In this case, UK to US, it's fine.

I know people say they've seen the movie without subs and "it was fine." I doubt it. If you know Spanish, Portuguese, etc, you'll be fine. If not, you'll miss out. I found a good rip with-what I thought were-good subs before I saw it in the theater. Even the better subs of the theatrical made a difference in the movie for me, I can't imagine not even having subs.
