Reiza Studios has confirmed their Formula Truck game is ‘coming soon’, and have posted an action packed video trailer. Definitely one to look forward to, and with the holiday season not too far off perhaps the release date might not be that far off!

Players can now pre-order the simulation, saving 10% on the retail price of $24,90.

The title is said to be available starting late January and will include all trucks that competed in the 2012 Formula Truck Series season, racing on ten different tracks.

The Brazilian Formula Truck Series features 1200hp racing trucks from manufacturers such as VW, Mercedes-Benz, Iveco, Scania, Ford & Volvo. The series races exclusively in South America with most rounds in Brazil and one in Argentina."

Yup, say PC in the first link. A shame that as I liked racing trucks up Pike's Peak in DiRT and I'd love for a console version.

Yeah, that was tons of fun indeed. I think truck racing would've been a nice addition to Project CARS.

Jav
This game seems to be pretty good(gamestockcars), have you tried it Voltaic?

Sorry Jav, I didn't see your comment. No, I haven't tried it yet. I assume this is based on rFactor just as the previous Reiza Studios game which was well received.

I just ordered it and Im downloading it now. Says it will take a couple of hours to finish. Might not get to try it tonight. :indiff:

So if this is built on rFactor's engine, what are the chances of the trucks being ported to rFactor or rFactor mods being ported to it (which would be the more sensible option, legally speaking)? I ask because Dirt had a big rig hill climb class, and I think that's all I really need to say on the matter!

If you want to loose in the aspect simulation I think those tracks somehow can be ported but for me it is better to buy this game because the feeling that you get is something that you can´t get in the "vanilla" rFactor.

This game as GSC 2012, is amazing and Reiza did a great job with everything. The quality of the models, the physics and FFB, the tracks and everything as it comes is a 10/10 product.

Get the game man, is the best I can say for you if you really enjoy hardcore simulation.

This game is great. I bought it some time ago and had some fun driving with a friend from iRacing.

Awesome video, below is mine.

Question; what wheel do you use? I have the T500RS and I am having difficulty finding the right amount. It either has too strong a centering force or it has too weak FFB. <---Never mind, I think I fixed it. By the way, SimVibe works very well with FT!

Yeah I most likely will when I can (must pay the rest of my tuition for this year first), but can rFactor tracks be ported to it? Were circuit mods made for GSC? I'd check for myself but I'm on the app and I'm about to head out... I'd love to combine these trucks with a hillclimb course is all.

I like this game alot, but I cant get these damn things slowed down. Seems as though the AI have better braking than I do. The AI in this game is some of the best Ive seen also.

Yes, though there are no hillclimbs that I know of. Most of them are "no permission conversions" so I won't post the link publicly. If you or anyone else wants to know where to find them, shoot me a PM here.

I'm not sure yet if they work with Formula Truck.
