Ladies and Gentlemen, for your edification and entertainment, I present this group of 500 PP natural cars and lap times on the Ring.

Manual Transmission
Driver aids off
TCS off
ABS 1

Wheel with paddle shift

Sports Soft tires

All cars were naturally at or about 500 PP. The most was 507 before I reduced HP to fit into 500 PP

No car was optimized for the ring, they were set up on different tracks to achieve better balance, performance, and maneuverability than stock.

My purpose was to see if I any of these cars would be substantially faster than the others.

Except for the Lancia, which I think is a dog (at this PP), the rest of the times are close enough to be statistically insignificant; any could win a race on this track.

I was surprised by the Monaro. It drove around the course so easily that I never felt the speed.

The Merc would probably do better at 550 PP. Reducing the weight would be more important than adding HP. This car is fast, but you feel the weight at this performance level.

The RS 200 felt sluggish with the gearing set so low (to achieve higher speeds). I think it's a better car on short tracks like Rome or Madrid.

Hi. I was tuning a Lutecia Renault sport V6 24V '01, when i've check your thread. The car is sport soft and 522 pp. I reduce it to 500 pp to do a round the ring, it give a 7'25" easy way. I think there is a lot of car in this time and for shure faster ( not a lot) 500pp.
It's very good to make this kind of time report like you've done, because it can orient me for example before taking the decision of "what car to tune in this range".
Have a good day.

You are welcome. One of my purposes in posting this was to help others decide which car might be best to start with and save them some time.

I also have a list of 550 PP cars driven under the same conditions
