i buy heaps for cameras and watevs... havent had a single one die yet
I second that, Eneloops have been the best rechargables I've ever used.
Wiki...
"A low self-discharge nickel–metal hydride battery, Eneloop cells lose their charge relatively slowly—only 15% in the first year,[2] compared to about 4% per day for other NiMH designs. Thus, they are sold precharged and can be used immediately."

I will keep that in mind when these Energizer batteries eventually die. The last rechargeable Engergizer batteries I bought, lasted about 16 years.

I'm glad to read that the e46 m3 sound has improved over F5. It looked good but sounded nothing like the real thing in F5.
Could someone clear something up for me please, in Forzavista mode is it possible to look at the engine bay for ALL cars in the game?
Also, in F5 the e46 m3 had the 19 inch shiny wheels that the real cars have, however on the stats for the car it read "18 inch", has this been fixed in F6? very specific question but i would love to know. I intend to buy the game this weekend regardless but would love a realistic e46 m3.

Nope. T10 said some cars will never have visible engine bays or trunks. They have not clarified exactly why, but I am guessing because the lack of development time. I am sure some of the manufactures don't want their engines visible, but I am sure a mass majority of it is to do with development time.

However, some cars require approaching the engine compartment and clicking them to expose the engine. A couple cars come to mind. The BMW #25 and the McLaren P1. Clicking "Explode" will not expose the engine. You physically need to approach and remove the engine cover.

I don't have an answer to your other questions.

@CAMAROBOY69 I find it odd with the engines as when I had VIP passes to the ELMS at Imola, I was told I wasn't allowed to take pictures of the engine/engine bay of the Z4 GTE (pretty much the same car as the GTLM) but then in game you can take bonnet off and have a look close up.

At least the japanese-made ones. I can open a three year old pack and still use them straight away (yes, I've got quite a few unopened packs still), and these have been rock solid. I had, however, a couple of chinese-made AAA misbehave after less than a year.

VXR
The E46 still classes the 19" wheels as 18. 19 is as big as it'll let you fit.

thanks both!

Attempted leagues last night and at the beginning of the race, 3 races in a row, my controller disconnected. :ouch::mad:

So I am pretty sure one of my battery packs are starting to die. So I picked up about 20 rechargeable batteries that I will start swapping if one of my battery packs are dead. The charger and back lasted a year so I guess that's not terrible. Still would have liked it to last more than a year.

I've had controller disconnecting on me now and then, even though the battery's about half-full. Guess you just have to keep them nearly fully recharged. I also use Energizer rechargeables.

Ah, is that right? I was in love with how the E46 sounded after upgrades in F5. Sheer ferocity! Perhaps T10 used a different set of pipes to record the upgraded sounds in F5 and 6. Different aftermarket exhausts can make the final sound vastly different. Mehh.. just a shot in the dark.

I'm guessing you either own the car IRL or have driven it. Good that it's more accurate in F6 then. Though I feel the notes are a little similar to the V10 BMWs.

Further to the batteries topic...

Imo you can't beat these, from my local pound shop. 6 for a pound? It's mad I tell you!

Six'll last me two weeks 👍

Yeah i have one IRL. On F5 the sounds from the cockpit were pretty realistic, but the chase cam didn't get the exhaust note right. From what you say, it sounds like I should have upgraded it in F5 haha

Haha, we're on the same page. Although with how little time I get to play, I think mine have lasted 6 weeks.

Why doesn't the game have more leaderboards like maybe two for every car (stock and modified) on every layout? Would it require anything special? The class based leaderboards quickly take away incentive to use cars that aren't competitive, and there just aren't enough Spec Challenges at the moment. I'd like to compete against others in the cars I like without having them overwritten in the leaderboards as soon as I drive something faster.

I think its time to stop playing. I'm 66% done in the main game with each of the 5 volumes at between 50-75% done.

I'm not leaving anything for the rest of the DLC and Porsche.

You need to! You won't get enough of it, I swear

Likely to do with perhaps a particular setup they may be running under the hood. There were a couple teams that advised folks to not take any up close pictures at COTA, mainly Porsche around its GT3s.

having finally bought forza today i can say i am pleased with the 2005 m3. it is an improvement over f5, drifting around brands hatch in the wet reminded of my trip to Argos to pick the game up:lol:

Now i have confidence that all the other cars will be accurate too.

Anybody have any experience with the MX-5 Cup Car online in D Class? It seems like it could be a potent little car, currently I use a 2014 Civic Si and it's fantastic but I'd like to build a few more cars up to run various classes online and D class is one I'm currently enjoying right now.

Grrr it upsets me that I can't play FM6 due to my stupid batteries being low... Will need to buy them soon or maybe I get chargeable ones?

I have a ton of cars to be built into rally cars, love this game! :D

One car you'll love boosting is the WRX Impreza, the hatchback version that Walker drives in Fast 4. Get the rally car liveries for that. They nailed the sound pretty good on it too! :D

About the batteries... I've pulled the batteries out of my controller and now have it permanently connected using a standard USB - micro-USB cable. It saves the battery trouble and I don't care much about it being wireless or not. In fact, my controller randomly disconnected a couple of times when I used batteries, but it's obviously 100% stable with the cable. Just be careful using a cable if people walk often by the TV. Nobody wants to have their console dragged to the floor by a careless foot.

Ohh, the amount of times that happened with my PS2 when the dogs were little :lol:

Thank god for wireless. XD

But still, when it comes to batteries for my XB1 controller, I use the official "Play & Charge Kit". It isn't cheap at all, but it's a good investment - and the USB recharge cable is huge.

Even with drivatars on the lowest and aggression set to off, the rubber banding in this is 🤬 ridiculous. Much worse than previous titles.
