Do you think we will be able to paint brakes again? I hate the fact that all upgraded brake system have red calipers.

First, let me do the one-month-late "welcome back". Glad you got the old account sorted. đź‘Ť

I wouldn't mind that too. It's admittedly something GT has that FM doesn't, along with the better-organized racing rear wings. The general FM6 one looks bad on 95% of the cars you can put it on.

Just allowing us to customize the height and the overall separation between the wing stays would be a welcome addition. I generally like wider wing stays, as wide as it can get really, as it tends to just look nice overall.

Forza 2 had paintable calipers, so why did it get overlooked ever since?

I think by now you've noticed how T10 has a knack for subtracting stuff.. REALLY good stuff we liked from previous Forzas, every time a new one comes out. It's silly, I don't understand why they do it.. but they do it.. and it makes me want to give one of their staff members a black eye!

Pretty much, it was known for a lot of back end slidey action. Try to keep positive throttle on at all times whilst cornering, as any total lift of the throttle will cause snappy lift off oversteer.

Is that right? Well kudos to T10 for keeping the characteristics true to life. That's exactly what I do: keeping my finger on the throttle around turns to keep the back-end from sliding. Though no amount of tuning completely eliminates the back-end giving out, although it does get dialed back.

Have you tried raising the differential decel setting to about 80? Also keep in mind that the rear springs should be stiffer then the front's with its engine layout.

Thanks Robot; I'll give that a shot. Immensely satisfying car to drive, though didn't particularly like the exhaust notes after the 3.6l V6 engine swap, so went back to the stock and maxed it out.

Agree. Depending on the car, I sometimes leave the brakes stock because red would look terrible or out of place. For example, almost all of the classic cars.
Yes the red brake calipers drive me nuts at times with certain paint jobs. I either have to change the paint color of my design, or stick with stock brakes. Which is not fun. This issue is on my wish list of items to be resolved in F7.

Even my real life car the previous owner painted the calipers red. So I painted them black. :D

What things have they taken away? Caliber painting, the usually stupid looking rear-diffusers which helped balance out all the drag from the other aero parts and that's all I can reall- ah yes. The storefront and auction house. I'm mostly alright with the loss of the auction house because glitches, but goddammit I want the storefront back. Sort by downloads ftw.

Night time at Classic Le Mans. One headlight amongst a field of Grp.5 machines. Just can't be beaten.

Here's what has gone missing as the franchise progressed:

- Branded after-market parts
- Exhaust upgrades showing up cosmetically
- Clear audible change in pitch, tone and character between street, sport and race engine upgrades (cams and exhausts)
- Diffusers improved the handling a lot, miss those
- No cap on controller steering (the trend started after FM3)
- Multiple home spaces
- Worthwhile drag racing
- Many cars that were previously upgradable to nearly 1000 HP or more now hover just around 750 HP after max upgrades
- In 5, when you would pan around to a 45 degree angle in cockpit view, you'd hear and feel the engine/exhaust more, particularly in rear-engine cars due to one of your ears pointing directly at the engine
- General lack of changes in engine audio character after upgrades
- Forza Vista engine start/rev sound has gotten sucky, whereas the same cars sound really good during races

These are only some of the things I remember off the top of my head. If I sit down to play previous FM games, I can point out more stuff, but what's the use, right? ;)

I forgot the tuning tools (redline rpm, max torque rpm, etc)

The only way the sort of changed was in FM2 when they were the integrated in to the race rear bumpers.

Okay, so I just got an XB1 and Forza 6, and It's a real love/hate with this game.

It's great compared to what your other choices are for a Console racing game, sure beats the hell out of GT6 and most likely whatever GT7 is, but the one annoying thing is, is that the game is pretty much the same.

Hardly any new rims, or body kits, or tuning features (no lettered tires or classic rims or special widebodies) And the track list is even smaller? No Suzuka? Really?

It's okay, but it's really becoming the same game anymore. Lord knows the "updates" that are coming are going to be nothing but adding Paid DLC packs or a free car or 2, never anything really game changing like Hey, more rims, or customization options/Vinyl shapes.

There were actually a bunch of cool vintage HRE rims added to FH2, but for whatever reason, are absent here

The track list is almost as big as FM4, though yeah, it's missing any Japanese tracks. I don't miss many of the fantasy tracks, at least for racing (some were great for photos). If I never have to run another lap of Tsukuba, I won't shed a tear.

There will likely be a free car every month, as usual. What I'm not expecting are the free track updates like FM5 received. If we get them, bonus. But not holding my breath, as this game isn't nearly as low-count as that one was.

There's the 2016 Porsche pack, though what that'll entail is anybody's guess.

What I'm really hoping is, now that they have a solid foundation on the One with an un-rivaled car list this generation, that FH3 focuses on broadening the tuning options, and FM7 adopts them.

The Mercedes W154 is pretty beastly in A Class, at least on Spa.

Managed second place (a first for me) and was only about 10 seconds behind the leader, which is fantastic for me with my own tune and automatic transmission.

I've noticed a trend with Drivatars lately where they'll slow down if I'm directly behind them, typically in a turn. Once this happens, I'm basically stuck behind them (emergency braking and turning = no good) and the Drivatars behind ME go blasting through a turn. I have a feeling this is their take on putting pressure on the driver in front of you forcing them to overthink and panic, but like many things they do, they over-exaggerate it.

This happened to me last night, I was racing an Aston Martin DB4 round Rio and was in 2nd Place, The Car that was leading a Mercedes Benz 300sl out of no where just braked in a straight line forcing me to crash into the back of him.

Those Drivatars can do some crazy things sometimes.

The Drivatar also blocks in the corners. I pick a line and somehow, the car in front is there. I move to the outside and it blocks. All over the place. I'd like a game where it is difficult to overtake on the outside.

Forza 6 November clues

Clue One

Dominant, pioneering, and in Forza it's in a class by itself

Clue Two

I'm willing to bet it's silhouette alone will capture your heart.

Clue Three

So fast he could pull to the side, reset his systems and still win the race.

Clue Four

No worries mate! Pretty sure this will be a hit.

Clue Five

A millennial moonshot.

Clue Six

I'm not dumb, but I can't understand why more American cars don't take advantage of this technology.

Clue Seven

Shazbot, Nanu Nanu

I didn't know of that, I'll have a look. I hope it's not the case since I have no interest in building a gaming PC.

Edit: Had a look apparently it's simraceway.com who has it. Didn't say whether they had exclusive rights for it. It made me depressed, graphically looks awful.

Ah, Simraceway. I knew one of the PC Sims had it. I really hate exclusive rights on 3rd party IPs. I understand why companies do it but it doesn't make me feel better. Hold the rights to something doesn't make want to buy their products, it just make me resent them for keeping it all to themselves. :irked:
