As a matter of principle? Fair play to you if so šŸ‘

Yes sort of. I don't really need the extra stuff; enough content in the game as is. Plus, I'd prefer to spend the same on good, quality food. :D

Ah yes, because paying for brand new content is an extreme evil and should not be practised.

Harh harh! Nah, it's nothing like that... I just don't really see it as something "necessary" to get the most out of the game, which has a handful of content to begin with. Any paid DLC is just extra, which if you want to get is great, but personally I don't feel the need to do so, to enjoy the game 100%, if that's fair.

I just thought that someone as crazy about cars as you would want all the cars offered by the developers to you.

It's your game and your money and I respect that. I just don't get it. Not that it's necessary for me to understand your way of thinking. You're having fun in your own way. But for me, I just couldn't survive knowing the Volvo 123GT was available and I didn't have it. Or the Holden Torana. Or any of the other amazing cars that have already been released via DLC. It might be a difference of approach. I'm in it for the cars, not the racing. I'm guessing you're the opposite.

Can someone please tell me how it works when a car is gifted by Turn 10? I never figured out how to receive the Ford GT I was gifted for playing the demo. I now have the same problem with the cars they recently gifted regular and VIP players, respectively. I receive messages about the gifts, read them, press the A button to "download", and then nothing happens. I don't see them in my garage.

You should see the cars as first off the list in the buy a car menus.

I never got the Ford GT either but I did get the 2 Nissans and 2 Fords and the Fiesta ST?

Do you see them actually download like the car packs? They should be in your garage under the proper manufacturers

I don't see them download. The download command within the messages does nothing at all when pressed. All I know is that they aren't in my garage.

To be honest, the entire account aspect of my Forza 6 experience has been weird. I don't have a VIP badge despite being VIP, and I get two messages for every rival recommendation they send.

I'd get in contact with someone from t10, despite what some morons think here they will get to on this.

Is your internet connection solid or does it drop off and on? May be possible you may need to open some ports on your router

I kind of agree with the person here who does not like DLC cars.

Reason is I always ask, what does the DLC car do for me?

My main interest is completing the main game.

I have a passing interest in rivals. I dont care about free play or multiplayer.

So therefore, if the car isnt useful to my game progress, it will most likely sit in my garage doing nothing.

So far, I havent seen any car that is 100% necessary to my game progress.

The FnF pack? I hate FnF. The 10th Anniversary Pack? I havent claimed mine.

The Cadillac limo? The Infiniti concept car? How do they help my game progress? They don't.

The McLaren mp4/4? I love this car but its a car without a race series.

The Nismo GTR? Intriguing car but I doubt I will move from my Mazda 787B.

The Rocket '69? It makes me smile because I love Fallout (on PC!) but I have no interest in this, nor do I want it, nor would I ever play Fallout on Xbox so it doesnt upset me.

Give me another modern F1 car like a RBR or a Mercedes or even a Caterham and you have my attention.

I'm a guy who loved collecting cars in the early 2000's. But so far in FM6 I haven't collected over 200 or even 300. Instead, I have at least 100 cars I usually tune up during my free time. Oh, and also because I'm cheap. What? I don't want to spend my 7mill on cars I'll never drive again, such as the Huracan that I'm completely ignoring. :P I'm having a blast spending upgraded parts and fixing up the current ones I have, especially the Holden Torana I've turned into a Tag/Destruction Derby car. :D

Guess you can say I've grown out of collecting cars, but I wouldn't mind purchasing car packs since they usually contain interesting cars and ones I haven't even heard of in my entire life....like the Holden Torana (man I just love that thing and have pictures of it as well).

Same here, I'm fed up with collecting cars. Back in GT I'd sometimes not even drive them but I'd still get a rush just from having found a new one (especially with prize cars). Now I'm not even tuning them, I found the pleasure in running them stock and don't want to change a thing. I did adjust downforce levels by "adding more wing" on one of the 70's F1s and I also completely ruined a Mazda 3 by tuning it to the max, poor pig ended up handling horribly.

I'm the same, I generally don't buy "car" DLC. Not because of lack of funds or principle but I'm not a virtual car collector. I have a few cars I like, in the classes I enjoy, and don't have a need to virtually drive everything. Tracks are another issue, can never have enough.

Oddly enough I feel the same currently. I went from initially wanting to get the DLC, to not wanting to purchase any DLC on principle, to now just thinking that I don't really need it. Have hardly played the last couple of weeks, just did three more endurance races, and I do feel my money would be better spent elsewhere now, though I'm thinking of getting the Honda McLaren MP4/4.

I think Turn 10 also tried to push this 'car collecting' thing with their 'buy 300 cars, get $5 mil. bonanza' - Forza 4 had the most races, hell, too many right? Even with that thing where you had to buy heaps of cars to complete, I dont think you'd go over 300 cars. They made you buy Swedish cars from the 1970s races for example.

I'm of the view you should spend as little as possible and buy cars that are usable across many races.

I've almost completed volumes from 50% to 85% complete and I've stopped play pretty much so I can leave something on the table for Porsche and the other 80% of unreleased DLC.

All the cars in the world isnt worth spit if there's nothing to run them on.

Yeap same here. Car collecting is cool and everything but the game has a superb collection to begin with and my key focus is on the tracks and racing. Speaking of... T10 says they have something special planned for next week.

Track DLC you reckon? Now that is something to really get worked up about!

I think its a weird complaint... Forza 6 has a great collection of cars to use in pretty much every class out of the box. That is a good thing but it makes DLC kind of redundant.

This is not a complaint!

The other contrast is how terrible Forza 5 was. That game had huge holes in certain classes, even just ONE usable car in certain classes.

That is worthy of complaint and is a travesty.

Use the DLC to patch holes or deficiences in the main collection of cars. If you make it 450 cars std. then yeah, its gonna be hard.

Knowing T10, if they were to wow us with Super Tourers, I'd take it that we would see a few of these:

I think my Xbox One died :(

Edit: Nevermind, it's alive! Bastard just scared me to death.

Hahahah... make sure you let it rest properly by keeping Energy Saving and unpluggin/turning off the brick completely after shutting down the console.

I know the feeling though... like when my Elite had died. Only then, there was no coming back alive!

As soon as they keep the DLC varied and interesting, I'm in.

I specialy love the oddballs, the Limo, the ancient racing cars, curious cars and local legends such as the Torana. It's just like taking some that GT started (bring unknown and local cars to the game) and expanding it to a more global and varied scale. And FM6 have a lot of cars already so the DLC really feel like expanding the game. (except for the annoying lack of a E60 M5, which I find disturbing and sad being a bimmer nuts)

And I think that the FM6 DLC is way less "dirty" until now than FH2 ones... Seriously, FH2 DLC it's so tempting that is cruel, I almost put coins in the Xbox disc drive. ahahahahaha

And well, a Porsche expansion is coming, that'll be dirty. Take my money.

Me personally I found quite easy to avoid FH2 DLC. It mainly consisted of cars that were previously in Forza or cars that I bought when Forza 4 was still in the new. I'm liking Forza 6 DLC but I won't bite on the season pass until Christmas or January as to see that more packs come out with cars zi really need. 2 packs in and zi. Liking what I'm seeing but I can wait. I will use the DLC to hold me over when I 100% the game

I'm the kind of person that would buy all of the dlc, because I just loved collecting cars. It's not only just to have them, but because I would want to try each car out. That's always how I managed to build up quite a car collection within a few days after buying any racing game that encouraged car collecting. Gran Turismo, Test Drive Unlimited, Enthusia, Forza Motorsport, and so on. My garage would end up with a huge amount of cars just so I could drive each one and I always made it a mission that I tried multiple kinds of cars each day.

I also have gotten into the photo mode features in racing games within the recent years, in which gotten me more motivated to collect cars, so I can try new shots of certain cars in certain environments. There's just a lot of fun overall when it comes to car collecting. I hope to be a car collector in real life someday even. :D
