I'll usually buy all the DLC as I like collecting cars as well. Some cars I even have multiples of. One mild, stock example with a license plate, and maybe another example highly modified with a livery. Sometimes even 3 or 4 of the same race car in different liveries.

Horizon 2 was great, as the DLC kept me playing the game right up until F6 came out; almost a full year. I don't think I can name a recent game that lasted that long for me.

Driving the 'Bird in the rain would've been an event in itself.

I'm not a big fan of the XKR-S being dropped for the GT version. I get it, it's the final evolution, and the normal XKR-S is very close to the F-Type R, but so what? There's the space for both.

On a similar note, I'm bored of V12 Astons. Go against the grain, T10, give us a V8.

Glad I'm not the only one who is disappointed/annoyed to see the old cars not get included in FM6. I mean sure there are cars like the new Camaro Z28 and Corvette Z06, but I much prefer the older ones. Even the old Challenger SRT8 392 is missing. Because of this, I now have a fear for Forza's future that more older cars may get replaced in favor of newer and faster ones, as well as other cars getting removed...

Still very angry that the RUFs have been removed. Why did T10 even bother modeling them in the first place...

I'm neutral on cars being removed in favor of faster/newer models. I mean, don't get me wrong, there are people who prefer the older models because they might own them IRL or it was a better car for tuning, etc. but I'm generally pretty relaxed on what they decide. However, in the case of the XKR-S I think T10 went after the XKR-S GT because it's more suited to the race track. Regarding the RUF's, I'm very sad about their absence but with the Porsche pack coming eventually, I can see why they were not included at launch. There is always the possibility of DLC after the Porsche pack though...

I'm glad the Ferrari California got replaced by the California T. Looks better and is faster, while still being essentially the same car. If they replaced the 360 with the F430, then I would be upset. I also like it when they have the top of the line model, but also include the base model body parts.

It's still a dumb move to remove the older version though. There is literally no point.

In the case of the California, the 3D model was back from the F4 days. Would be like having two tiered car 3D models like GT5/6. The graphics of F6 kind of outperformed the old model, requiring the new updated version.

Well, the original California was a horrible car to drive IRL, by Ferrari standards that is. I'm gonna be driving a Cali T tomorrow to see if it's gotten any better, and to see if T10 has accurately captured the sound and how it drives. However there are always people who like certain iterations of a car, so you make a valid point.

When I perused the car list, I didn't see the NSX-R GT. That meant no Spoon NSX-R GT replica.

There are some cars that I don't know are missing since I didn't get FH/FH2 or F5. I'm loving the game. I put it down. Don't play for a few days. When I pick it up again, it's like brand new each time. I literally can't find a reason to be grumpy with this game.

Offline is a joy. Plenty for me to still do. Cars I have yet to drive at night, rain, dawn. Maybe the way I feel is a result of so much Gran Turismo hype since '97 til GT6. I've stepped back and decided to just enjoy virtual driving. All credit to competition and F6.

Well, I was a bit sour too to see some of the older cars going missing - particularly those present in FM3 and 4, really wish they had migrated to 6 as well.

Oh well, 6 still has a pretty good collection and count. Maybe they're going to pull off a stinker and release those older cars as paid DLC in future. Or not.

Either way, I'm happy with the car collection.

The one problem I have with car lists in Forza (and increasingly in Gt games) is only having the special/high end versions of cars. E.g. FM4 had the 135i coupe but now FM6 only has the 1M, no Mk 2 Focus ST either only the RS. There's a fair few like that, and we never get many non M BMWs like 330/335i, non AMG Mercs etc.

You think BMW would be proud of their non-M models, but they so rarely make it in. Maybe because Forza isn't able to demonstrate EfficientDynamics they don't wish to include them.

Throw a 320ed into the game and make us do efficiency trials as part of the career. Something different and I enjoyed them in GT. Would work even better in Horizon.

That's kinda been my main complaint about the Forza franchise for some time now, Turn 10 seems to usually focus only on the high-end performance models, but not consider the regular models. I personally wish for once that I could drive the normal 2013 Mustang GT rather than just the 662hp Shelby GT500 for a change or they could bring the 2013 Boss 302 back.

At least there is a proper '65 Cooper S. Standard... Oops. I mean, unmodified or with
upgrades, it is a brilliant little car in this game.
