Well, I've found my next car. I was going to buy an ND MX-5. Now, I'm getting a Mk1 Mini. I've always wanted one since watching CHiPs on tv. John had one as well as a Chevy pickup. I almost had one when I lived in Newcastle(Australia). When I wanted an MX-5, I almost bought a '90 NA after driving one. This latest ND just looks so right. The 1.5 is all I wanted. Now, after spending time with F6 and driving the ND and '65 Cooper, the Mini is too much fun.

That's what Forza is all about - the thrill of the drive.

Only trouble is, 6 has restored my passion for driving IRL and I'm leaning on the car more than ever. The wife went ape when I indulged in some childish traffic light grand prix last night. She was apoplectic when she asked why I did it, and my response was "because I could" with a broad grin...

That's the spirit!

Heheh...stupid Forza! Makes me want to speed too on empty roads :D

Seriously thinking about hooking up my X360 just to get a taste of the old tracks and those hair-raising engine sounds.

No. This has been one of my main complaints.

I would think by now someone has a web playguide where you can just look it up but its problematic that you even have to resort to that.

Problem for me is I like to pick and tune a car BEFORE being thrown onto a track... yes I know I'm weird like that!

Is there anyway of seeing which tracks are visited in each racing series in career before starting the series?

It'd also be nice to know which class of car and PI limit the track requires in advance too.

Semi-related, '76 Formula 1 cars are not eligible for the R ghost league. No where is this mentioned though.

Whatever, I'm fine with my R875 Ferrari F12.

Not really a bad news: Tokens back but with option to hide from it.

Rewards remain unchanged. So now Forza 6 Economy is like GT6: Has microtransactions but not really ruins the game.

I kinda feel offended by comparing the two in terms of microtransactions.

Don't some cars in GT6 cost a lot of money? Like making FM5's original microtransactions seem like a bargain?

GT6 has b-spec though. And they throw money at the user with the 200% login bonus and the very generous seasonals.

GT6 has microtransations but no one buys them, why would you? You can earn the same amount in 5mins of play.

Seeing how poorly Forza 6 sold, I dont blame Turn 10 trying to turn a coin.

No. FM5 is horrible at microtransactions. The updates only makes up slightly better, but still bad. I think that backs off most Forza fans.

But Forza 6 ones are allright though, dont worry. Especially with the new management on the XBox departement. If they desperately wanted you to buy their tokens, they shouldnt provide an option to hide the interface altogether im the first place.

£119.95 for a 20 million credit car.

Nearly twice the price of GT6 when it came out.

But the way Forza 5 rewards players are much smaller, harder, and the way it presented feels like a free to play mobile games. As i can tell the most expensive cars in FM5 is actually more expensive by real world money on tokens. Also the fact that cars in GT6 being cheaper and more rewards than GT5 makes it a pass.

Again, Forza 6 fully ammended those, even more rewards than GT6 as far as i can tell, and i fully apreciate it.

Regardless of how much you make playing the game it's still twice the price of the game brand new for one car.

GT6 microtransactions are simply worse than FM5. Flat out. You don't have to pay over a $100 for one car in FM5. Or FM3/4/6.

Lets see how many people actually bought or thought about Microtransactions between both and which game mechanics being wobbled more by microtransactions.

GT6 transactions can be summed up as buying credit packs. I think you pay $5 for 500,000 credits etc. and up to 2.5 million credits. But its a half assed way of doing it. I mean I dont know why you would unless you were completely incompetant.

Most people on this forum would be up bouncing onto the 50 million credit limit and you would have all the 20 million cars already just thru normal play.

Spent about 5 hours yesterday just driving different cars around the Nurburgring. Didn't care about lap times or anything, just driving.

That's been my preferred play style with racing games since Pole Position!

Don't care about getting to the end of single player, don't want to always be online, don't muck around with painting, just enjoy a open track and a factory spec car.

Got to level 220 an thought...............sod it lets go back to the begining an start from the first race ( no I didn't delete my save befroe you ask ) except now all the driving aids are off :embarrassed: No TC No STC of wotever its called an No Mods , just pure fun an a lot of screaming at the the TV , only up to Expert Level so far , but its a start .

I seem to spending a lot more time sideways...............but now i'm controlling ( or not ) things , slides are nice an progressive . So i'm having lots of fun .

Even when this happens

an erm this

Still hate Long Beach though .

It's impressive that folks can both insist on turning this into a versus thread, as well as talk about how microtransactions affect both games, when they've only (seemingly) got any play time with one of them.

I haven't played in a couple days, but I'd be curious to see how it's been implemented. It was easy enough to avoid in FM5, but I'm disappointed by the inclusion regardless.

It's pretty much the same when enabled as it was in FM5. If you disable it in the HUD (yes, the HUD of all places), nothing has really changed from an UI point of view. Never used it in FM5, never really bothered me either, have it disabled in FM6, and it still bothers me. lol

Meet my new best friend.:)
GetPhoto.ashx

Seriously,I could drive this thing all night.👍

Microtransactionaneghans or whatever. I'm loving my (E296)Austin Cooper trying to beat my rivals at each track. Such an awesome mode in seeing how players make their speed.

I can see where my Mini is so late on the brakes and so quick in the corners. Also 3rd gear acceleration(I use the stock 4-speed) where a Jeep Willys, MazdaSpeed MX-5 and Celica were quick from 1st-2nd gear, I reeled them in by 4th gear.

It's also cool to see my avatar raced 21 times on October 14th. Gotta love this game.

Slowly working through the JDM F&F cars for a gallery update. Really liked the R34 and 350Z, but the S2K was a bit of a disappointment. Despite being supercharged, it still felt very VTEC norm. Nothing and then bang, all of it. Fits the film though, I suppose, with 12 gear changes before 100mph...

Found a really silly tune for the 1965 Cooper S , how silly , well the car was doing 207mph at Daytona on the back straight , an a 44 sec lap . Useless anywhere else coz it was wheelspinning in every gear till it finally got to 6th gear . Bonkers idea but fun :D

I can't believe how fun the Enduro events are. Starting midpack on the 2nd highest difficulty actually made me work hard for a win. Since the endurance races don't use the Drivatars; the AI is really polite and usually won't ram you going into corners.

My only gripe is that the other drivers slam on the brakes before pit entry at Catalunya. I'm trying to stay close on the rear end to get in the toe on the straight, and they just slam on the brakes!
