I just typed here because I wanted the 1500th post here.. but on a more serious note, what are my engine swap options for the A9X if any?

Edit: Out by one..oh well.:P

You have 4 to choose from, the 2.6L I6 TT, 5.7L V8, 3.7L V6 VVT, and 5.9L Racing V8. If you swap in the racing V8 you can get 825 BHP while still in C class :D but the car becomes rather difficult to control.

Thanks man,I think 825 is a little much as it already snaps back, which I like but i drive with no assists, the straight 6 could be interesting.:)

I'm trying very hard to be "relaxed" .... :nervous:
Why can T10 bring back "Gifting"?
WT-Heck am I gonna do with 82 million cr$?
I already have more cars than I can ever use on the game, plus the future car packs included with the Ultimate Edition:indiff:
and all that from the initial 25 mill$ and the rest from designs/vinyls/tunings.
I'm just not gonna add any more of those. :dunce:

I can't believe how fun the Enduro events are. Starting midpack on the 2nd highest difficulty actually made me work hard for a win. Since the endurance races don't use the Drivatars; the AI is really polite and usually won't ram you going into corners.

My only gripe is that the other drivers slam on the brakes before pit entry at Catalunya. I'm trying to stay close on the rear end to get in the toe on the straight, and they just slam on the brakes!

Really? No Drivatars in Endurance events? Odd.. I thought Drivatars were at play every time you're connected while playing Forza.

The random braking happens even around corners on the highest difficulty level, they just dab the brakes when clearly there's no need to, and you end up bashing them from the rear or side. I suppose that's how some gamers are driving during races.

There's no drivatars in showcase events either.

Does anyone other than myself take it as insultingly personal when you get a mod pack from when leveling up?

Apart from when I had to use them in the opening series, I've not touched them, so if I got them as a level up I'd find it wasteful.

I tend to find it so insulting because every single time I have received a mod pack from the spin, it's been the base one.

Thanks, but no thanks.

What I find insulting is this 25-50k bs,okay so I get it can't be a cool million every time but c'mon really? I'd take the mods every time over that or even a 6k Rabbit Golf or something of the like.

I haven't touched the Mods. I'll see if I can sell them.

Anyway. Just got up to 15/513Asia Pacific(189/5913 World) in the Lime Rock Full E300 Leaderboard with my Cooper '65. So cool to see my little car with minimal tuning, running faster than cars with downforce. I love it. Best car in the game.

Damn I wish I got the base pack instead of the crew and dare pack every time . I already have the highest paying dare mod that I always use and refuse to use the crew mods. At least the base pack can include XP boosts for the odd occasion I choose to play offline. I can only wish they let you use boost mods (credits and XP) online at some point but I don't think that will happen.

Well, the recommended designs for the M4 Coupe definitely suck. I saw one design that is a bit inappropriate for a rated E game.

:D Finally got the Thru the Pack achievement after roughly 650  public multiplayer races in possibly the least likely race for me to do it. The lobby chose Yas Marina North so I thought it was going to be a bad race anyway so why not pick a 1000hp Camaro with very bad handling and blast past people on the straight. Also in the lobby were some top drivers but I was somehow able to avoid the usual crashes and then just managed to hold on to it where it came down to the last little straight before the finish.

It came as a surprise to me when the achievement popped up as I wasn't even aware there were 24 people in the lobby.

Nice!

I wonder if the achievement will pop so long as there's 24 people in the lobby, even if they all aren't taking part in the race? It's something to hope for, since I'm positive that one will be my last to get (if I get it at all).

That would be good to know for sure, but from what one of my friends with the achievement was saying you have to have 24 people start the race (so not spectating or didn't join in time) although he could well be wrong, I guess I just didn't look at how many had started, all I knew was that I was last.

I think this is an achievement where you're better off just playing the game naturally than trying for it as there are too many idiots out there who may cause unnecessary raging. I'm sure I came close multiple times before but you have to be so lucky to get a 24 player lobby, then 1/24 chance of starting last then avoid the inevitable huge crashes that 24 players brings and then to win.

I think it will pop as long as 24 players join the lobby. I don't think they need to finish the race. It would be cool if we can get a lobby started and whoever starts last can get boosted to it. It's a super cheap way to get it but for some the only way.

Is there anything that can be done about the incredibly oversensitive steering response for the Formula cars?

I mean, that combined with the grip from tires that apparently expand the entire track width (read: rails) is just ridiculous. I've beaten rivals times and the only real problem is the tiniest bit of input results in a fast corner turning into an invalidated lap.

EDIT: Adjusting the inside/outside steering deadzone (derp) makes driving them far more tolerable.

I'm still hating mods to some degree, but the Long Shot mod has given me some fun back. Spent some of my weekend in Free Play, Long Shot mod equipped, on Unbeatable with full Sim Damage. 3 laps around Rio National doesn't give you much time, but I've had an awful lot of fun with Niki Lauda's Ferrari.

I wished there was a rating system for designs. I'm all for X even, if it doesn't show to people having G selected.

Some people have gotten this achievement with only a handful of players in the lobby, so there must be something else at play. One theory is that you need to start from 24th position on the grid.

[Edit]
Why can T10 bring back "Gifting"?

And allow players to undercut them? Gifting doesn't really go well with Microtransactions.

Pretty sure like the storefront and auction house gifting was removed due to exploits and hackers.

You probably know this already, but keeping all deads at 0/100 helps tremendously and lets you make smooth inputs.

I'm getting on so well with normal steering I'm reluctant to change the deadzones. It took me months to try it with 5, but it did make that game's sim steering more tolerable on the pad.

Well, good for you man. I find normal just too basic, easy and non-nuanced.

I've perfected control on the pad with SIM down to the point that I know exactly when the tail's about to break loose and what degree (or millimeters) of movement is required to correct it. Once you figure out how the analog stick interprets steering movement, you're set.

The learning curve's tall though. I've never gone back to normal since FM4 - SIM just forces you to be such a clean driver and stay on your toes at all times. I imagine that's the kind of laser-focus required of pro drivers doing this for a living - @TheCrazySwede.

Who here has beaten the Indianapolis 250 in the endurance section of the Showcase events? It's literally the most frustrating race I have ever done on Forza . The AI are complete idiots. They pull out of the pits in the middle tiny straight after the finish line straight, they run out of gas and continue driving on the race line, they break on some corners and not on others, they slow down randomly on the straights. I've been wrecked 10 times in this race and even worse on lap 88 I just got wrecked by someone who decided to break on exit of the corner. Why? Because screw me that's why. So after that wreck on lap 88 I was able to finish 2nd. I regret putting the difficulty on Pro beach use I had no chance at making up 13k feet. However if zi put it any easier the AI will be even more stupid than what they are. I can't win for losing.

Was one of the first endurance races I did, don't remember it too well, but I do remember them breaking in the most stupid places.

I haven't done any of the endurance races but I saw this on two accounts in a career race:

Long Beach, one of the AI cars spins a bit and ends up going into the pit lane. Restarted race, and the exact thing happened... !

Watkins Glen, same scenario - AI car pits in on the second or third lap. I restarted the race, exact same thing.

I heard that the handling on old Cooper is too sticky, it banned in public lobbies for being too fast on same perfomance points.

What do you think?

This:

I don't race in rooms. I do the rivals challenge. I set my car as close to the specs in the video. My Mini is C465 on Sport tires and C438 on street tires(175/65R10 either compound). I only use 4 gears with max speed about 130mph like the real cars. Even then, at tracks like Silverstone and Spa, I hit a brick wall and max speed isn't reached.

Based on the time attacks in rivals, the short wheelbase helps and I can go deep on brakes. Bigger engine cars smoke me on straights. Again, like the real cars in the video. That's the characteristics of the car. It's strengths. It's how they won races. Just like the drivers in the video tell it.
