Remote play - Connection error

I am trying to connect my PSP to my PS3 and all I get is a Connection error saying "8001006F". I am logged on with the same email address on both devices and in the network settings I have allowed offline start (I think it is called).
I am trying to connect over the Internet.
Any suggestions?

Well yes thats my ultimate goal but so far I havent even been able to create a connection at all. All help would be grateful

You don't need to connect to your ps3 with your psp directly. Your PS3 must be in server mode through the community menu on GT5, then you need to access your account @ https://eu.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt5/signin, from there start remote race.

We are currently experiencing an issue on our site where if you are using Internet Explorer, the sign-in process to the PlayStation®Network fails. As a result, it is not possible to use the GT5 My Home and the GT Academy registration form from Internet Explorer at this time.

We have confirmed proper operation using windows versions of both Firefox and Chrome, and ask you to use one of these web browsers if you are experiencing this issue.
