I've been remoting for a few days, and kicked of a few sucessful races this morning. I then enter 10 lap Suzuka and watch the progress.
All the drivers finish, but the time is still counting its up to 31 mins so far, and I can get it to stop.

Has anyone else seen this ? It's only 10am and I'm at work, I'll lose a good 8 hours of remote races if this keeps up :( Plus it will lock up my
friends b-spec racers (I suspect)

Edit : He's still going ... Grrrrr!

Cant you just close the page?

I've tried closing the page, I've tried logging out and then back in, everytime I come back it says, hey you're involved in a remote race and shows the race stuff with all the racers finished their 10 laps.

Maybe its not the same race & someone is using your drivers in a different race?

Same race definitely I took a screen shot when I first noticed and compared it to now. The only thing that changes is each time I refresh the timing screens the time drops back to 29:20:00 and starts counting back up.

Why didn't they make a quit/cancel race options like you have if your at the PS3.

I am having the same problem now. I watched my race end on the PS3 at home, left for work. Pulled up remote racing to start a new race and it shows that the race is still ending. If I close the window, then log back in, the timer starts back at 15 minutes after I watched it get up to 25 minutes. :nervous::ouch:

1. Are you sure you selected to enter server standby mode after the race ends?

2. Have you tried clicking race results?

That sucks... I often fear coming home to my PS3 just melted into my shelf. I don't trust it... it's too advanced...

I'm hosting now and haven't had an issue. When you get home, I suggest clearing the system cache from the ps3.

Have you tried clicking on "View Race Results" at the bottom? Worked for me when I had one racer get stuck on the last lap (everybody else was done).

Once I got home I hosted games for about 4 hours and then I've been hosting all day today and haven't had it lock up again. Seems like its relatively rare given very few people have experienced it.

I'm there too ... it's stuck and can't change anything via remote page in web browser.

If anyone has a solution, please help.

Count me in the sorry so and sos...

Today was my first day of remote racing, hammered it for around 2 hours before I encountered this freeze..

Trial Mountain , lap 10/12

Tried closing, logging out, hitting any available button, and I doubt it's my PS3 crashing as I'd been running it on B-spec for 5 days..

6 hours before I'll get home, I'm missing out on credits! Not impressed

PSN: Locsene

It's possible your playstation network may have dropped during the race, i'm pretty sure i had a lock up and this was the cause of the problem, obviously if you weren't hosting at the time it wouldn't be an issue but i think if the network went down in server standby mode this could well cause the issue.

On the other hand i maybe totally wrong :dunce:

I feel sorry for the owners who will have 5 of their 6 drivers blocked until I get home. This bug needs fixing asap

I have had the same thing happen to be twice today while at work.

I went home in my lunch to restart the PS3. And the PS3 had frozen at the begining of the race.

I have had this happen a few times now since the 1.06 update. (today was the 1st and 2nd time in remote b-spec it has happened, Also happen in A-spec Seasonal events on the custom tracks, so it appear to linked to the online sort of features)

Gutted at yesterday was my 1st day doing the remote racing (600k Cr and 6 b-spec lvls again 17 to 23) and it was great fun. But no such fun today.

It happened to me on Trial Mountain, I noticed another person was also on Trial Mountain when it happened to him. When I went home yesterday, my PS3 had completely fallen off the network.

Anyone else find this on Trial Mountain? I'm going to stick to the Daytonas until further notice... 1 more hour until I can leave to go home to fix this travesty...

But... I hit level 35 this morning, my X1 awaits!

This happens when your PS3 disconnects from PSN while you are hosting a race from your browser. When you get home just restart your PS3, and the problem will be gone.

Mine just dropped at Daytona. I will go home and check to see what the status of my PS# is, see if it locked up.

I have also reached the same conclusion - anytime anything in GT5 hangs or locks if i sign out of PSN it always reverts to normal operation.

Sucks, but there it is.

Crashed again at work, looks like my PS3 lost PSN connection :(

When i turned on my TV there was a "sign into PSN?" box, even though i have automatic sign in ticked.

I clicked yes, and the race carried on from when it had stopped!!

There must be a fix for this, looks like even though i have the ability to run remote races ALL DAY at work and would love to,, my network or broadband isn't up to the task, unless they work around it..

Mine freezes quite a lot when i am playing remote races. When i am just selecting players, or just black screen mid race. Really annoying.
