Remote Racing exploit

I could write a huge post about this, but the gist is this:

1. Make secondary accounts.
2. Create Bobs on these accounts.
3. Initiate a remote race with your primary account while you're out of the house.
4. Profit several times over on your primary and secondary accounts.

This can be extended to:

5. Share an X2010.
6. Use shared X2010 to win B-Spec races on a secondary account.
7. Collect several Zonda R's, etc.

Also:

5a. Use prize money earned by secondary accounts to buy cars to send to your primary account.
6a. Send matte paints earned by collecting cars to your primary account.

So yeah, that's basically all I can think of right now. I realised that as my name starts with an N, no one gets that far down their list of friends when picking Bobs and as a result I've earned very little from Remote Racing, even though I added 15 people especially for it yesterday.

Although basically none of the good methods (duping, rubber band grinding, this, etc) are legitimate, there's quite a few ways to earn money in GT5 with very little effort...

Edit: I haven't personally done this, but I'm considering it (as I said, I could be earning more from Remote Racing than I am), I thought I'd just post it for those with a slightly more wayward 'moral*' compass.

* it's a videogame, not sure morality comes into it?

Morality should stay with us through all aspects of life. :) It just makes for a better world and a level playing field.

It's fun finding ways around video games because its a challenge but it doesn't mean we have to use those methods. Some will and some won't.

I wouldn't race from the primary account, because the primary account probably has multiple Bobs. The secondaries have only one. So it's better to race from the secondary, so you can add all Bobs from the primary, giving you more money. ;)

yeah, picking bobs should be randomized, or at least give the option to fill your race with randomized bobs to meet those people at the bottom of the list. like me, my name begins with a friggin Z =_=

So you are saying, create an alternate psn, add it to the friends list of my main psn, then go back to the alt psn, start a remote race, and that will include the drivers of my main psn? Sorry if I'm not writing clearly or if I am confused by this. How can my drivers on the main psn race if the main psn is offline due to the alt psn being online? lol

lol I know the feeling. I rarely get picked to race.

wouldn't running a normal b-spec race (ex. 4 hr nurburgring or 9hr tsukuba) earn you more credits & exp pts ? If you're just running the b-spec remote racing for yourself, you're not earning a lot, in terms of exp-pts/min.

You only have to be online if you host a race. So even if you are offline, your friends can use your online B-Spec drivers. 👍

Mine begins with an A and I have to try really often until I get them to give me their prize money because they are always busy... ;)

I'll help out anyones bspec drivers, I dont care how far "down the list" you are. Send me a friend request on PSN and I'll add some people if they need help filling slots.

Just be sure to state that you're from GTP or I wont add you.

Thanks buddy! 👍

I'll let my friends know this information and we all can level up.

any info about how much xp or credits per race or maybe it depends of how many drivers you have.. any info?

Ugh, seriously? Turning this into some sort of morality exercise? It's a freaking video game, and you're talking about B-spec, a game mode that has zero to do with anyone else even with the remote race ability. If it so skews your moral compass maybe you shouldn't even bother setting your drivers to be used online, after all you aren't doing any of the work. All those credits and the exp gained were because someone else picked your driver.

I must be some sort of social deviant since at this moment I'm running my 6 drivers, my brother's 6 drivers, and 3 drivers from friends on a secondary account. Oh and I've been duplicating paint colors for weeks. And I also buy cars that I need for events on my other account because I just don't want to buy them on my main account. Oh right, this all has absolutely NOTHING to do with how I carry out my life away from the realm of video games. I really feel sorry for you if you think that attempting to climb up on some moral high horse and bringing all this up makes you feel like you're better than others. Duping, paint trading, buying cars-sending them-reloading save to restore money, DO NOT have any sort of detrimental effect on the game, period. All this misplaced outrage and pathetic whining are getting so very tiresome. People know the ways to "cheat" to get money and it's fine if you don't like it but just shut up about it, it's not going to change a thing.

Don't worry neema_t I'm using your drivers :D

This man speaks the truth.
I hadn't thought of this, so thanks for the tip! :)

Ok I dont dupe or rubber band grind. I do however use this Exploit in a way and dont see it as cheating in any way. Ok I have 2 accounts on my PS3. The first is a normal account that I use for all games, the second is my GTP_Thedeester1 account. So I did the friend swapping between accounts and now host on my original account.
This means I can race my 4 GTP_Bob drivers against the host.

Ok heres why I dont see it as cheating. As I said in another post GT Anywhere has become a gambling sport where I work. A game is set up every dinner break. Everyone pays a pound to enter a driver and the winner takes all.

As you can see this is very similar to horse racing. I have a stable of drivers instead of horses. I use the exploit like a race horse trainer would use "riding out" to condition and train his horses. Ok I might gain some cash and be able to shuffle the odd car but I still dont see it as a cheat.

I'm doing this right now. I am using an account I rarely use to host a remote race whilst using all 6 of my drivers on my main GT5 account. I cashed in this morning after two hours of doing this and got almost half a million in credits and reached level 32 B spec. I also use my friends drivers as well. One of them went from level 21 to 23 I think.

I set up a sub account, created a Bob, bought a car.

Friended my main account, it shows up in the sub's friends list on the PS3 and ingame on the PS3, but doesn't show up when I set up the remote under the sub account.

Did I miss a step?

Not sure what happened, but it's working now.

Sometimes when you add a new friend They don't show up until you back out to the main menu then go back to the GT life screen.

So my brand new driver after losing 3 (20 lap) races went from level 0 to level 7. I'm not sure if its the new raised XP levels since the update, but my other driver had to do 32 regular races to get to the level my new driver got to in 4 remote races (losing all of them badly too).

It seems kind of like a seasonal event for B-spec, Which some people requested.

Woah, calm down! I was just saying that some people do get very worked up about exploits (which this is; PD most likely don't intend it to be used like this). I even said at the end that I don't even believe this to be a moral issue, it's a videogame, therefore it's virtual; if I cared at all about morality in a false world I wouldn't own GTA IV or Call of Duty either... Also I could hardly claim to be the most 'moral' GT player given that I modified my controller so I can run the DCC B-Spec 24/7!

This is true, of course, but what if you go out for the day? Also if you can use this to accelerate your progress in alt accounts' B-Spec (in much the same way that Seasonals help boost their A-Spec) then you could re-earn prize cars more quickly which would be useful if, say, you painted your Zonda R but wish you hadn't, like me!

I also just realised that it would be far more profitable to run remote races from a secondary account as someone pointed out, of course. I've been away from my PS3 for two days now and 5 of my Bobs have roughly 800,000 between them, so I'm not sure I'd get much use from this exploit, but like I said I was just posting it for people who hadn't thought of it already.

I don't think this constitutes as an exploit. It's no different then racing with a friend who gives you all the money back that he wins(in cars, plus one heck of a friend). All your doing is cutting out the middle man. Now duplicating cars that's an exploit because you changing the way the game is played. By using saved data and gifting back and fourth.

But with this there's no save data having to be uploaded and no other physical changes to be made. Exploits are where you have to change the physical way the game is played in order to better yourself. Starting a remote race with your friend and gifting cars is how the game was designed.
