Remote racing question

Hi guys

I know the fundamentals of this but am confused about how it works.

Sure I know you have to set your drivers to online so they can participate. My question is, do you have to set up races and invite your friends to rake part?

I looked at my 3 drivers who I'd set to online and noted they had won some cash and when I removed them from online (was going to do an endurance bspec race), the collated money and xp hit my account.

It also showed the races they had participated in and the races had been hosted by folk on my friends list.

Can anyone explain, like the idea of getting xp and cash when I'm not playing

Pretty interesting though. I had my lvl 36 Bob online just after remote racing was introduced. Since then i have left him for my friends to use in their races. Came back yesterday to find he had raked in 899,756cr and enough XP to get me from 37 to 38.
