Right chaps,

Brother has some silicone sealer on his clothes, dried, how do we get it out? Been washed, swarfega'd.

Any ideas?

Ignore, solved it with a microfibre cloth and some water.

I know you've fixed it, but I might as well add in my little bit of advice anyways.

Try Varsol/paint thinner/turpentine. I know the label says to not touch the stuff, and it's probably not the most sound advice, but I bet it's what Chuck Norris uses when he can't get something out of his clothes.

Yeah yeah yeah, it's pretty bad for your skin and they are clothes, but unless you use it for prolonged repeated instances, you'll be fine. It works wonders. I've used it to get rid of some of the nastiest tar stains in paints that nothing else came close to getting loose. Just make sure to rinse/wash the crap out of the piece when you've removed the stain.

I know that if you get chewing gum on your clothes your meant to freeze it and then it should be peel off. Chewing gum probably has a more robust consistency as it is obviously designed not to break up. Worth a go before you go ruining it with some kind of thinner.
