The second model of Renault Vel Satis saw daylight in 2005 and came with only a few and slight improvements from the previous version.For instance, the French carmaker redesigned the grille in order to follow the same design line as other Renault models of that time. In addition, new engines were also introduced, now ranging between 2.0 16V Turbo and 3.5 V6 24V, producing between 140 and 245 horsepower. However, one of the main changes concerns Renault's marketing strategy as the company decided to stop manufacturing right-hand drive variants for the United Kingdom due to very low sales recorded by the first models.
