Requesting High Res Car Pics... at work we have an awesome photolab printer that i can use for staff prices... with staff price frames... = cheap photos. Can print upto A1 size. So looking for some really high res images that i can use to hang around the place and get some really nice frames...

Some action shots as well as professional shoots, if you know the links, post them here...

Thanks a lot.

well, higher the better, i was thinking 2000+ or even 3000. Im not sure how high i need it to print on A1 size..

Any of the photos you like in my Goodwood 2007 thread (link in sig) are available in 3488x2616 on request. I ditto Exigeracer's comment - I don't know what it'll look like printed out full-size since the shots are fairly blotchy zoomed in full on this screen...

you could search on some of the manufacturers press websites; most of them require subscription, but I seem to recall the nissan site, for example, was free if you can find it (: there were more that didnt require registration, just search in google for "-manufacturer's name- press site" and it may pop.

As I work for car mags, I have access to all of the manufacturer's press sites, and there are loads and loads of 4000 and 5000+ pics, but I cant give that info out at all, sorry.

Got a specific car in mind, Fry? We have, undoubtedly, the largest Hi-Res Gallery at UCP. Tell me the car, and I'm positive I can get you some Hi-Res shots.
And like others, anything I've posted from my own is Hi-Res available.

wicked response, well once the printer is operational.. then i can test a few. I was thinking some really nice AMG's or Ruf's, possibly an awesome Ferrari 550LM or something.. or some nice racing action shots..

I'll see what UCP has, then. :)

They're 640xX for preview purposes. I can get more of the 550 GT or the 575 GTC if need be.

Great thread, and thanks for the links that everyone have posted. It's difficult to find quality automotive images for my screen resolution (2560x1600).

EDIT #2: Does anyone know how I can have thing link as a thumbnail, yet still retain it's original size? Imageshack automatically resizes it.

Truly sorry guys.

Another great image, thanks for providing the original and not a compressed Imageshack link. However, that was a bit too big so I edited your post and converted it into a link. :)

I was hoping for a imageshack thumbnail with a resolution size bar under it so people could see how big the image actually was, but I guess this works fine.

PB do you have more of those type of images? that was brilliant.

Mclaren do you have the full size of the side view of the Ferrari with the number 2 on it... Thats awesome one.

you could blow up pictures a tad to fit A1, it might be a tad fuzzy up close but far away it would still look good. iv printed 3000px size pics coming out about A3 size, at a decent dpi anyway. if you drop the dpi you could get away with slightly bigger
for good quality and up to A1 youd best have pics taken with a medium format camera, which have megapixels in the 20s, and be looking for pics around 6000px wide at least

Edit* UCP has a minimum of 1024x768 rule to be considered Hi-Res, so if there is a specific size you actually need, I'll have to try and find it. Or, you might have a program that can make it larger. Sorry for any inconvenience, though.

(url= "link to full size image"]

(no quotes around links, replace the ( with a [)

Uncheck the remove size bar from thumbnail box when you upload the image.
