Rest in peace.

It is tearing me up, my dad's best friend just died yesterday. Grant (R.I.P.) used to own a shop and repaired cars for a living, he also fought in korea, then as he got older his health declined, the main thing was the loss of his legs a few years ago, i think his shop has also not been doing very well and that just makes me mad, it was something he worked so hard to keep respectable.
Grant was my dad's only friend that he would actually go out of his way to visit. sorry about posting this here but i don't really know where else to post it.

I'm sorry to hear that dude. My condolences go out to your father, you and everyone else that knew him. :guilty:

Any plans on whats going to happen with the shop?

i think his daughter has been in control of it for a while, but last time i went there it was to help fix the leaky roof, then a couple years ago my dad went over there to put grates/shields or whatever on the windows because someone robbed the shop :grumpy:

Yeah there are sadly some inconsiderate b*****ds in this world..

Sorry to hear the sad news.

It's always sad when something someone has left behind is not continued in the way they'd have liked. Hope it all works out well for the shop.

I'm sorry to hear that news. Shame that these things happen but they do.

You have my hopes that the shop will do well in the future.

Sorry man, i knwo how you feel as in i just lost my cat this week. I hope the shop goes well.:indiff:

A cat is nothing compared to a human life.

Pets can be bought or found, you can't just replace a best friend, per-say. They don't come back. You get over a pet death in less than a month, a human death is always there.

Anyways, sorry to hear about this. My condolonces.

You've obviously never raised a pet from birth and spent your love and time with it.

On topic: My father has also lost several friends that he knew since grade school. Hearing the stories about the times they had and even the times I had with some of them kind of makes them feel like your friends too. I wish your family and the daughter's family the best of luck in the future. 👍

Yes, I agree.

Pets are pretty much part of your family too after you have had them for years and years. You can't just forget it passed away, just like people you've known for years.

My condolences.

My nan is doing too great presently, so I can understand how it feels when someones health is declining towards the inevitable.

I had this cat since I was 2, and he died in november. Do you think I didn't care? But, tell me, do you cherish your pet(s) life/lives more than your own parents or your close friends?

Do you? If you had a decision, would it be your pets to die, or your close friends?

Aaaa, everyone stop going on at me.... im only little. And i do understand what you are ALL saying.

It's both extremly hard, but your acting like pets are teddy bears, and wich tehre not there very much the same as us in ways. Such as both feel pain, and sufer, and when you hear that your animal died over a phone, makes it 5x as ahrd, and you think i havn't lost friends? well i've lost many, it's pure torture, and so is loseing a cat, specially if it was a best friend to you. My cat would talk to me, i know it sounds strange but we meowed a **** full every min, he a pure and makes the atmosphere feel so fuzzy, and specially if he came and slept woth you every night, he was my little buddy. OK let's go back on topic now.
