Reverse Button

I don't know if this is new or old but i was just experimenting and i pressed the revers button to intiate a drift and it worked, it reminded me of a clutch kick but i drifted alot easier pressing this and its good to keep a drift going cause you loose traction quick while doing it, i was wondering has anyone tried this and do you guys think its cheating i personally don't but i wanted to know what you guys thing

also i did a search and nothing came up but if it is another thread like this i am sorry swift.

dont you have to be going less than 10-15 mph for it to actually go into reverse?

He doesn't mean actually going into reverse gear, god that would take too much time

He means taping it. Which like he said , it works basically the same as putting the clutch in giving it more revs, and realeasing again.

Personally i don't know if it would work that great, i would have to give it a bearl.

And as for everyone or anyone thinking its cheating, its just like using the handbrake (which would mean, its on personal opinion).

Suit yourself, but i dont think i would use reverse ever to initiate a drift

mine doesnt work....I was racing and went to hit the revers but nothing happend........no sturtter no power lose....i kinda got freaked out

As far as I know, the reverse button only has an effect if you are really slow or standing still. Otherwise it won't do anything.

@xsquizet-drifte: Please, do the world a favor and learn to use proper punctuation.

Is this GT4 or GT3. Because I know this reverse button effect happens on GT3 and the GT4 Prologue, but I don't think this happens on GT4 (I think I tried this and nothing happens as others here have accounted for). Can someone verify this, as it is late right now I won't be testing this out till tomorrow..

I tried it earlier and it did NOT work. wither either the triangle on the dfp or the ds2. dont waste your time.

Yep, the good old GT3 reverse trick to break traction isn't possible now. and of course that's a good thing. Because if you did somehow manage to get your car in reverse doing 60 mph, you wouldn't have a transmission left to speak of.
