reverse shifter mount

hi there, i am looking to buy a g25 and am having trouble finding a good place to mount the shifter. i finally decided im going to break the armrest off of a chair and mount the shifter there. the only thing is i would need to have the shifter mount on the front of a piece of wood, not the back. does anyone know if i would be able to reverse the mount on the bottom of the shifter somehow?

Reverse the piece of wood?

Pretty simple & easy-to-build design. Adjust height of wood as needed.

never mind guys, i've figured it out, i'l attach a second piece of wood at the end perpendicular to the original piece and mount the shifter on that. Thanks for the responses.
