bah.. this fan is loud >_<
Um, theoretically, yes and no(IMO, I'm probably wrong). If it is drawing air in from the back of your case then it is just going to be sucking in hot air exhausted from the fan in your power supply(I assume it is near your PSU, is it?). Also, you want a current of air to cycle through your case from the front to the rear. It will probably work.
You can always use it as a cpu fan though. I have my Tornado set up as a cpu fan in combination with Thermalright's SLK-800A(not the U, it has bolts that go through the motherboard for extra support. I've had no issues with the A version).
If you're going to be using that fan, you really ought to invest in a fan controller. Vantec's Nexus NXP-201-BK is a decent one. It is either black(hence the BK at the end of the model #) or silver in color.
My view of the Vantec tornado is slighty skewed because I feel that using a fan rated at 84.1 CFM as an exhaust/intake doesn't really do it justice. It's really a cpu fan in my opinion. Pictures of the monster mounted on my motherboard are at my website if you want to see what it and my heatsink look like. Sorry, I did a lot of research on the fan and heatsink before finally buying it.
I am interested in knowing how it functions as an exhaust/intake fan though. I may buy two more in the near future to replace my current dual 80 mm intake fans in the door of my case.
