The Rhapsodie Auto was a supercar prototype based off the Corvette C4 with some rather large claims. From the 550 horsepower 5.7 litre GM-sourced V8 the company claimed the car could reach 355 km/h.

The styling was quite nice actually, and aside from some of the smaller design elements like the lights the shape has aged very well.

Engine: 5733 cc twin turbo V8
Transmission: manual RWD

Length: 175.2 in
Width: 71.5 in
Height: 46.1 in

0 - 100 Time: 4,0 seconds
Weight: 1400 kg

Credits to Wiegert for finding that the car is German.

I don't see what you did there, please explain...
Well if it was faster than the Bugatti EB110, don't you think more information would be available on it?

Also, the C4 Corvette was never meant to handle 220 MPH-- No car was made to do so except hypercars like the Bugatti.

Very beautiful car, but very few information about it on the internet, I couldn't even find from what country it is, anyone knows? :guilty:

It doesn't seems to be American or British.

It's German. Built by alloy wheel manufacturer RH Alurad and designed by Scala Design Group. Also goes by the name 'RH Alurad Rhapsody' or 'RHapsody'.

More specifically, it was based on a '90/'91 ZR-1.

And yet Callaway conceived the SledgeHammer regardless. :P

Thank you.

Well of course there was and is lots of Vaporware around (remember the Vector?), but if this thing was properly engineered it may well of been able to reach it's claimed top speed. As for the lack of information about it, it's likely because of the unknown manufacturer and lack of marketing (opposite of Vector) or maybe you are right and it was vaporware.

Also, Callaway Sledgehammer.

This thing would go like hell, and it looks nice too. Then you see the interior. :yuck:

Change the color of it to black, change the boot around the shifter or swap it out for a smexy open-gate shifter, keep the blue gauges, and get rid of the awful looking C4 steering wheel, then you have a nicer interior. It may be a few aesthetic changes, but that's what you'll be looking at when you're driving it.
