Hello, I have a questions about this game or in general, a WRC question. Which you can assume I just recently got into Rally.
I do not understand this Recce/Shakedown day though. All I know that the point system is separated by two categories based from this wikipedia article.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Rally_Championship#Structure

Please can I have an easy understanding on how this goes?
I've been playing Richard Burns Rally for quite of couple of months now but never tried the Rally seasons mode until now.

From my understanding, the Recce/Shakedown Day is a day to practice each course before you actually start the rally. I do not know if it is limited to how many times you can run each course or not.

The shakedown is just a practice run. I'm pretty sure they just run one stage. It doesn't count for anything, it's just a chance for the drivers to get a feel for the conditions. I guess they select a stage that best represents the rallys surfaces so the drivers know what to expect. It's also a chance for the mechanics and driver to set up the car properly. It's run the day before the first day of the rally.

Recce is an abbreviation of the word reconnaissance; which means to check out first, roughly.
Like solid snake would go check things out, before he went in and started shooting up the place.
Like what the army does when they want to go find an oil baron, and shoot him in the face.
They check to see where his toilet is, first.
When you go rallying, you have a look around the course first, making notes of boulders in the way, trees that might be a bit close to the edge of the route, and so on.
It's a day for scoping out what is coming up, so you can make pace notes, prepare your car for the conditions and road surface, and be as prepared as you can be for full speed, madness attack, the next day.

Or something like that.

I have never played RBR.

I still hear it is the hardest, most definitive rally title ever released, though.

:irked:👍

Thanks bro. Most simple and epic metaphor that I've ever heard 👍

That... :D Also, are there mods for numeric pace notes. In game it's just fast left, and hard right, things like that. I want to know which gear. like 5 left 40 into 2 right over crest...
