I have seen this topic mentioned a little bit in threads that weren't "ride height specific", so I thought I would make a fresh thread about it, just to get up to date opinions.
Being Japanese myself, and being a huge fan of the aggressive low to the ground ride heights that I would see the Japanese TA monsters use. I myself would usually go for that aggressive look and style.
Well, that is until today. I tried one of the suggested ride heights, that one of the tuning calculators suggested. It was +1F +1R. When I tested it out, I found that my car cornered much cleaner, smoother and faster with this higher ride height, compared to the much preferred, lower ride height. I was able to go into corners with much more confidence.
When i would lower my car. I would stay at least 3 clicks from slammed, but that was because i would always run such a stiff suspension setup.
Anyways, what is your preferred ride height? Does higher ride height settings help you corner better, or does a lower setting help you corner better?
