Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 4/4 brake balance as starting point.

Notes :
The Camaro GT3 had a rough start back in 2012, the first European team from Germany who used the car, YACO Racing Team struggled to be competitive, spending most of their racing time at the back of the pack, several seconds off pace in lap time.

But, that's not the reason for not making this replica :D This year, 2014, the Camaro GT3 will debut again in Europe Blancpain Series, with better brakes and bigger wheels as well as many aero improvements.

This build is trying to replicate the power spec of the Camaro GT3 built by SaReNi United / Reiter Engineering competing in Blancpain Series. The car has 500HP and over 800Nm of torque, with 1290kg of weight. I can't replicate the car weight distribution at 55/45, so I used the closest I can get.

This build uses Chevrolet Camaro Touring Car, the car is different compared to the road car version, no body kit, no rear wing, but it comes with decent front and rear aero, as well as much harder springs.

Suspension has been tuned to support the added downforce in mind, damper, ARB and spring rate are optimized for traction on both low speed and higher speed. I decided to use higher rear spring rate to make the car more willing to rotate while very controllable. There might be slight push/understeer on low to medium speed, but it's more for safety cushion, so you know you are reaching over the limit and the real car also has unique understeer traits.

LSD is 2 way as usual for this type of car ( racing tire ), I tuned the preload pretty high to avoid sudden changes in grip between rear tires. While high locking rate make sure traction are even near the limit.

For gearing, I used previous replica GT3 homologated gearing and adapted for this car, as I couldn't find detailed info on Camaro GT3 homologation gearing. Final has been setup for good launch on 1st gear, while having good top speed and acceleration throughout the gears.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Monza with chicane, Silverstone GP, Nurburgring GP/F, Nurburgring GP/D, and Fuji Speedway F.

It was capable of easy 1:25s at Brands Hatch GP, right there among top GT3 cars :D

ENJOY
Great handling!

iA, Group GT3 Series, RH, ABS1 5/5, tune untouched, Winner! :-)

Notes :
This is a replica of Audi R8 LMS Ultra Blancpain version, the power figures depend on the restrictor usage, so I have provided 3 different power levels.

The suspension has been overhauled from my older tune, incorporating new spring rate, damper, ARB, toe and camber. With the new setup, I can use same camber front and back, unlike in the older version :)
Overall the car is easier to drive, safer, and more consistent.

For LSD, I have used the same 2 way setup, with similar setup like in 458 GT3, while gearing also adapted from 458 GT3 homologated ratios, and it worked so well with the R8 LMS.

I have tuned and tested the car at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Bathurst, Silverstone GP, Nurburgring 24H and Spa :D

With stock gearing and 528HP, it manages 52.5xxs at Tsukuba, 1:23.3xxs at Brands Hatch GP, 2:04s at Bathurst and 2:01s at Silverstone GP, all on 1st lap :D

To replicate 2014 Audi R8 LMS, I would suggest to run at 500HP

Please leave feedback about the replica, I always consider this car as a work in progress

Championship won, but it's a very nasty (known) and challenging car. You made it very well and driveable. 👍

Championship won, but it's a very nasty (known) and challenging car. You made it very well and driveable. 👍

I hope you didn't spin when racing it :P The key is when in low speed ( entry or mid corner ), always hold at least half throttle to maintain balance/traction, and be smooth with the steering, basically coasting it - shifting to 1st helps a lot too, which is why the 1st gear is pretty long :D. You can reduce the prone stepping out of the rear tire on low speed corner exit by increasing rear toe in to 0.14 and up to 0.21, any higher could make the rear harder to rotate on higher speed. Last resort would be increasing front camber to 0.5 and up to 1.2, any more will induce understeer :) I am still going to work on it from time to time :D, Thanks for driving it and the feedback 👍

I can't replicate the car weight and distribution at 55/45, so I used the closest I can get and maintain the 1310 kg from ADAC version.

I installed flat floor on this build, a different approach to replica, this time I tried to get closer cornering speed of GT3 race car, and sacrificed top speed as well as acceleration. But, I do gain better traction, better stability, easier to push on the limit and ultimately more realistic top speed, able to replicate real life top speed of 279kmh at Monza with chicane - similar to real life 2014 test laps. There are subtle differences in balance compared to non flat floor, so it might takes time to get used to. The flat floor also added PP to 582, quite an increase from 553

Suspension has been tuned with added aero downforce from flat floor in mind, damper, ARB and spring rate are optimized for balance of traction and stability on racing hard tire. I decided to use higher rear spring rate to make the car more willing to rotate while very controllable. Notes :
Another J's Racing themed Honda :)
This EF8 CR-X is surprisingly much better than the EG2 CR-X Del Sol :D

The build is based on street/track built J's Racing EF8 CR-X that I read on a magazine article long ago, details are sketchy as I could only remember bits of information. So I decided to make a new version on 450PP level.

The CR-X is lightweight, the interior has been reworked, chassis reinforced and fitted with a roll cage, weighs at 955 kg for this 450PP version. Weight distribution has also been fixed to replicate real life CR-X EF8 at 62/38, don't worry, the handling is still superb. Powerplant came from J's Racing hand built B18C racing engine producing 260PS.

LSD uses J's Racing 1 Way High Traction model with low initial torque, low locking rate aimed at loose handling. MFactory Cross Mission/Close Ratio gear set 1-3-4-5 has been used and J's Racing 4.700 final gear is used, for tracks with higher top speed, simply lower the final gear to stock final 4.266 or 3.900 or lower. Suspension has been upgraded with newer J's Racing CRUX Engineering SPL version Racing Damper Kit incorporating Swift Springs, with spring rate set at 12/8 aimed at racing on the track, while still great on the road. Wheel alignment, particularly toe has been tweaked, with slight front toe in and slight rear toe out to give better steering response.

The 450PP version is highly recommended to run on sports tires as the power easily overwhelm the skinny comfort tires. Tested and tuned at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, and Nordschleife.
At Tsukuba, it managed an easy consistent low/flat 1:06s with my best time at 1:05s on comfort soft.

ENJOY

UPDATE : Added alternative LSD setup based on real life J's Racing LSD 1 way.

Had these real cars based on replicas run on real life? Or made by you?

I read about the car in a japanese magazine back in late 90's, the appearance is not the same of course, I painted this car in different color, and as I written on the notes, I only remember some details like power, tuner who built it, and the interior picture :) Which is why I made 450PP tune based on the car. I do use real life tuning parts, like spring rate, gear ratio etc. It's a theme build, not a full replica :)

Notes :

I built this replica upon request from a fellow member f1357924680, he asked for a different version of the FEED RX7 :)

So, after research and watching 2007 Hot Version videos of the car in action, I decided to build one.

The FEED Fujita Engineering FD3S produces 450PS using FEED T04RS Turbo Kit. Basically the FEED R7 is a street car with excellent tune ups. Weighing at 1260kg and a perfect balance of 50/50, the RX7 proved it's potential in the hands of Dori Dori.

Suspension comes from FEED PRO-F05 coilover damper kit, with 20kg/20kg spring rate, sadly GT6 do not allow such high value, so the highest I can set on both rear and front is 15/15. Still, with a fine tuned damper and ARB, the car gives exceptional response throughout the corner, with tuning aimed at balance just like Dori Dori often said in his review.

LSD is 2 way from FEED, this time I tuned for touge, which means high preload and medium locking rate. This gives the best balance between agility, traction and flexibility on the limit.

Gearing is stock, I have to correct this according to real life OEM 5 speed ratio, ignore 6th gear if wanted authenticity. The FEED RX7 uses FEED 4.1 Final Gear, which again gives the car rapid acceleration that worked well with the engine power delivery.

I mainly tuned and tested the car at Tsukuba. It easily lap Tsukuba on comfort soft at 1:04s.

ENJOY

Notes :

I built this replica upon request from a fellow member f1357924680, he asked for a different version of the FEED RX7 :)

So, after research of the car competing in 2011 Tsukuba Superlap Battle, I used the Touge FEED RX7 version and make slight changes for this replica.

The FEED Fujita Engineering FD3S produces 450PS using FEED T04RS Turbo Kit. Basically the FEED R7 is a street car with excellent tune ups. Weighing at 1260kg and a perfect balance of 50/50, the RX7 proved it's potential in the hands of Nobuteru Taniguchi during December 2011 Tsukuba Superlap Battle in Street S-Class.
During the competition, as the car is in street class, it maintained almost everything, air conditioner, stereo, and still uses H shifter gearbox. The tires used was ADVAN A050 R Spec G/S ( soft ) Compound 295/35R18, the tire only lasted for 3 laps , and they have to be replaced, the equivalent in GT6 is sports soft tire.
The car won the battle with 58.051s lap. A few months later, March 2012 precisely, the car was taken to Tsukuba again for further testing while also attempting to break the previous record. The 58s time was done in the winter, with low temperature, while this time in March, the weather is suitable for the tires and the car. In the hands of Nobuteru Taniguchi, the FEED RX7 posted an incredible 57.511s lap time at Tsukuba in the same setup as in 2011 Tsukuba Superlap Battle.

Suspension comes from FEED PRO-F09 coilover damper kit, I set the spring at 15/15 as the real life value is not possible in GT6, with a fine tuned damper and ARB, the car gives exceptional response throughout the corner, with tuning aimed at ultimate balance.

LSD is 2 way from FEED, this time I tuned for Tsukuba, which means high preload and high locking rate. This gives the best possible traction and flexibility on the limit.

Gearing is stock, I have to correct this according to real life OEM 5 speed ratio. The FEED RX7 uses FEED 4.7 Final Gear for Tsukuba, which gives the car explosive acceleration that is essential at Tsukuba

I mainly tuned and tested the car at Tsukuba. It easily lap Tsukuba on sports soft at 58s.

Aim to replicate the real life lap time, either the 58.051s or 57.511s lap time. My best so far after a few laps is 57.2xxs :D

Special build 500PP RX7 Racer based on FEED Fujita Engineering RX7 replica.

I made some changes, removing power parts and lower power to achieve 500PP mark, lighter body at 1150kg, lower rear aero at 25 for better balance of top speed and cornering.

LSD has been tweaked for easier drive and consistency, using low locking rate.

Gearing has been shortened for short to medium speed track, lower the final for more top speed, I recommend 4.700, 4.100 or 3.900.

This tune is very well balanced, able to tackle various corners with ease.

Silverstone International Circuit.jpg

Notes :
I used to have this car in GT5, never really drive on the limit, just cruising around online.

Then I read that this car is nasty for it's oversteer :), so I tuned it for racing or just driving as quick as possible around tracks ( track days )

I set at 500PP for this build, maintaining stock weight, and tuning using my replica building experience.

Suspension is the most crucial part of the build, with carefully chosen spring rate, damper tuning and ARB. All these three parts gives the car great handling with predictable response on the limit and easy to control when exceeding it.

LSD is another important part, with high preload to reduce handling changes when pushed hard and low locking rate for more consistent drive experience.

Gearing is also what makes this car special, using adapted racing car close ratio, the Spirra gives excellent acceleration and top speed.

The more I drive this car, the more I like it, especially for hot laps :D

I tuned and tested at various track, Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Silverstone GP, Silverstone Intl, Bathurst, Matterhorn Rottenboden, Rome and a few others.

When tested at Tsukuba on comfort soft, it was capable of 1:02s
While on sports soft tire :
Bathurst 2:17s on 1st lap going easy on the car
Rome : 1:12s
Silverstone International : 1:07s, while on Sports Medium 1:10.1xxs
Matterhorn Rottenboden : 1:42s with ease.

This is one of the quickest 500PP car :D

ENJOY

Update : Corrected power and limiter figure for fresh oil change :D

UPDATE : Tweaked the rear damper, and LSD, the car is now more stable on high speed and braking, easier to push on low to medium speed even on Sports Hard Tire.

The new update managed mid 1:11s at Silverstone International on Sports Hard

Notes :
The Camaro GT3 had a rough start back in 2012, the first European team from Germany who used the car, YACO Racing Team struggled to be competitive, spending most of their racing time at the back of the pack, several seconds off pace in lap time.

But, that's not the reason for not making this replica :D This year, 2014, the Camaro GT3 will debut again in Europe, with better brakes and bigger wheels as well as many aero improvements.

This build is trying to replicate the BLANCPAIN 2014 spec of the Camaro GT3 built by SaReNi United / Reiter Engineering. The car has 500HP and over 800Nm of torque, with 1290kg of weight.

There might be slight push/understeer, but it's more for safety cushion, so you know you are reaching over the limit and the real car also has unique understeer traits.

I also aimed at replicating real life top speed.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Monza with chicane, Bathurst, Silverstone GP, Nurburgring GP/F, Nurburgring GP/D, and Fuji Speedway F.

I do not install flat floor on this build, so please be careful with throttle on low speed exit. I will make another version with flat floor. Without flat floor, the top speed and acceleration is much higher with lower PP. It comes with benefits and drawback ( lower cornering speed ).

I decided to use higher rear spring rate to make the car more willing to rotate while very controllable. Your garage is cursed or something. For the past FOUR days every time I start updating your garage Google servers go down and I only get like one or two tunes LOL!

....In all fairness Google was being a little sluggish today before I started anyway.

@Ridox2JZGTE, wow what a tune that Audi R8 Ultra was, did really go 1st lap on 2.02 on Bathurst, second lap goes 2.01 and after setting LSD to 28/38/37 goes 1st lap 2.01 2nd 2.00 and 1.59 on 3rd lap :)
Tested with RS tires no ABS with G27 on offline Bathurst grip set "real".

Did you have a fierce battle on the long straight :) ? I was a bit worried if with only 500HP, the car would be too slow in top speed and acceleration. Happy to hear the car is superb,

XS
Your garage is cursed or something. For the past FOUR days every time I start updating your garage Google servers go down and I only get like one or two tunes LOL!

....In all fairness Google was being a little sluggish today before I started anyway.

I think Google don't like my garage  Take your time XS :) What's with Google lately, sometimes the search engine also a bit sluggish.

Thank you for driving the tune/replica :) One of the key for the build was spring rate, after learning about Ferrari 458 GT3 real life spring set used, I got to thinking, what if the Audi R8 will benefit from similar setup. Please let me know anything about the car that needs improving :P

Don't miss the FEED RX7 pack and Spirra '04 500PP, I swear the Spirra almost can be mistaken for a Ferrari

Indeed, my friend, on the long straights, you'll feel a little overhelmed, but also here comes the adrenaline when you keep pushing in the slipstream and move the braking moment to the limit, at the edge. Great experience and a real pleasure behind the wheel. 👍
Oh, and I forgot the replays. After all that pleasure, I receive a great bonus watching the replay with your great looking replicas in action. :)

I'll try not to miss anything from your garage, but I'm trying hard to keep the pace. I need one more life! :gtpflag:
And then, one more, and so on...

Wheels : Stock
Car Paint : Stock

Tuning Parts Installed :
Racing Exhaust
Suspension Fully Customizable Kit
Adjustable LSD
Racing Brakes Kit

AERO :
FRONT : 230
REAR : 680 ( Alternative setup is to use stock value or whatever values that suits the track or preferences - I recommend no more than 300 front aero and 730 rear aero, too high will lower acceleration and top speed)

LSD - 2 way high preload
Initial Torque : 28
Acceleration Sensitivity: 38
Braking Sensitivity: 38

Suspension - EIBACH ERS Coil Springs with Bilstein Damper
Front, Rear

Ride Height: 75 75
Spring Rate: 21.43 16.87
Dampers (Compression): 6 7
Dampers (Extension): 5 4
Anti-Roll Bars: 5 4
Camber Angle: 0.2 0.2 ( use zero camber for max grip )
Toe Angle: -0.07 0.07 - increase rear toe in if want more stability in low speed, I recommend no more than 0.21 as it makes the rear harder to rotate.

New Update / Alternate version with better low speed stability ( Suspension + Aero )

Ride Height: 75 75
Spring Rate: 21.43 18.69
Dampers (Compression): 6 7
Dampers (Extension): 5 5
Anti-Roll Bars: 5 4
Camber Angle: 0.4 0.0
Toe Angle: -0.07 0.18

Alternate Aero :
FRONT : 280
REAR : 680

Transmission - Sequential 6 Speed Adapted Homologated Ratio
Install all power parts
Set Default
Set Final to 5.000

Set Final : 3.889

Brake Balance
5/4 ( personal BB) or for ABS 0 wheel : 5/4, for ABS 1 - feel free to use your preferred brake balance.

Recommended setting for DS3 user :

Steering sensitivity at +1 or +2, all aids off, except ABS 1 ( if not comfortable with ABS 0 ) with 5/4 brake balance as starting point.

UPDATE : Added new alternate suspension and aero set, the alternate setup offers better low speed stability and lighter steering at medium and higher speed, LSD remains the same. The new alternate setup is capable of 1:59s at Silverstone GP  with 552HP.

@Fanapryde, @sumbrownkid, @OdeFinn, @Dr_Grip_GT
The Audi R8 LMS Ultra Team Phoenix has been updated, with alternate suspension and aero added, aiming to give better low speed stability and better directional changes at medium/high speed. Tested at Silverstone GP on 552HP, able to post 1:59s lap with ease , also tested at Bathurst and drives well there. This alternate version will also be the base for the Audi R8 LMS Ultra '12 Plain version.

@danbojte, @f1357924680, @Pete05
Ferrari 458 GT3 replicas ( all 3 ) has been updated, added wheel selection, custom rear wing, and detailed spring rate value under notes :D

@KazaMR2 : If you are interested, I will post the base tune for the GC8 Makoto Mori****a.
