Very nice. Unfortunately, I am going away very soon and will not be back until next week. I hope to give this one a test (and maybe compare it to the Kamiya Evos) soon!

@Fanapryde, @sumbrownkid, @OdeFinn, @Dr_Grip_GT
The Audi R8 LMS Ultra Team Phoenix has been updated, with alternate suspension and aero added, aiming to give better low speed stability and better directional changes at medium/high speed. Tested at Silverstone GP on 552HP, able to post 1:59s lap with ease , also tested at Bathurst and drives well there. This alternate version will also be the base for the Audi R8 LMS Ultra '12 Plain version.

Ferrari 458 GT3 replicas ( all 3 ) has been updated, added wheel selection, custom rear wing, and detailed spring rate value under notes :D

@KazaMR2 : If you are interested, I will post the base tune for the GC8 Makoto Mori****a.
Why I'm not included for the R8 updates?! :( :P :sly:

AERO :
FRONT : 230
REAR : 680 ( Alternative setup is to use stock value or whatever values that suits the track or preferences - I recommend no more than 300 front aero and 730 rear aero, too high will lower acceleration and top speed)

Notes :
This is a replica of Audi R8 LMS Ultra Blancpain version, the power figures depend on the restrictor usage, so I have provided 3 different power levels.

The suspension has been overhauled from my older tune, incorporating new spring rate, damper, ARB, toe and camber. With the new setup, I can use same camber front and back, unlike in the older version :)
Overall the car is easier to drive, safer, and more consistent.

For LSD, I have used the same 2 way setup, with similar setup like in 458 GT3, while gearing also adapted from 458 GT3 homologated ratios, and it worked so well with the R8 LMS.

I have tuned and tested the car at Tsukuba, Brands Hatch GP, Bathurst, Silverstone GP, Nurburgring 24H and Spa :D

With stock gearing and 528HP, it manages 52.5xxs at Tsukuba, 1:23.3xxs at Brands Hatch GP, 2:04s at Bathurst and 2:01s at Silverstone GP, all on 1st lap :D

To replicate 2014 Audi R8 LMS, I would suggest to run at 500HP

Please leave feedback about the replica, I always consider this car as a work in progress

UPDATE : Added new alternate suspension and aero set, the alternate setup offers better low speed stability and lighter steering at medium and higher speed, LSD remains the same. The new alternate setup is capable of 1:59s at Silverstone GP  with 552HP.
Big improvement, 552BHP, RH, Camber, ABS 0 (5/4), Group GT3 Series, Silverstone GP, 2:03.554 - Racing Conditions. 👍

That's great, so maybe I can put the alternate suspension and aero as primary tune. The alternate tune also works on the plain R8 LMS :) How's the car on low speed turns - particularly the tight turns at Silverstone GP ? I know the R8 handles great on medium/high speed curves.

Notes :
Inspired by classic historical touring car and rally car from 60's, I made this special build, not a replica, but rather a tune with replica theme :)

I based this tune on a real car that has Furiani built racing engine at 184HP that was installed on a very rare race spec Autodelta built Alfa Romeo 1600 GTA ( there were only around 40 built ). The real car has roll cage, 5 speed close ratio gearbox, custom suspension and dry weight at 740kg.

For suspension, I used real life approach in tuning, 1600 GTA has a high rear roll center, while the front has low roll center, even more so when the car is lowered, this produces steep roll axes. This is the main reason the car needs to run very stiff front springs and very soft rear in real life, the same applies in GT6 :D. This also creates another problem which requires good damper and ARB tuning to balance things out. I settled for 9k/4.28k springs with damper tuned to even the load, and ARB to stabilize the car on entry and mid corners.

LSD is based on 2 way competition spec ZF LSD with larger friction plates, and 4 lock position at 25%, 35%, 50%, and 70%. For this build, I chose 35% lock with optimized initial torque for balance on all tire grades from comfort/street to racing/slick tire.

Gearing is based on racing spec close gear set, with a host of factory final gear options from Alfa Romeo ranging from 3.728 to 5.860. The stock final 4.555 is used on this build.

I tuned and tested on a variety of tracks, from Autumn Ring Mini, Tsukuba, Silverstone Stowe, Fuji Speedway F, and Brands Hatch GP.
When tested at Tsukuba, it managed 1:08s on comfort soft, and at Autumn Ring Mini 45s on comfort soft .
The car has a a lively rear on mid corner to exit, easily controlled with throttle. This gives the driver so much fun and enjoyment on all tires from comfort to racing tires. With racing hard, it's capable of easily post sub 2 minutes at Fuji Speedway F.

Yes, you can make it primary. It is still nasty, but not like before. I felt like it ran better in the first lap?! I don't know, maybe it becomes a little worst when the tires are heating up?! Anyway, it is much better now but remains "in progress" :) 👍

About the car being worst with heated tires, can you describe it ? It may have to do with the rear toe. I will play with LSD more :)

I don't know, maybe it was just a false impression about that annoying oversteer became stronger than in the first lap...I have to recheck this. 💡

OMG! I cant keep up with such amazing cars... Maybe I should better hire someone to build the replicas all day... :P

Chat soon. :)

@Ridox2JZGTE, a little help my friend: on your replica of the 458 Itália GT3 Base model, I noticed that the car has some difficult turning, it goes in front if a early acceleration is applied... Is it like the real car?

Giggity. :)

Now... if onlt GT6 had Rally Cross. Oh, well, gravel will do. 👍 👍

Edit: Subaru, it gives you wings! :D

Do you mean understeer ? if the car is too tight / harder to turn on exit, lower the LSD accel value :) The real car has 2 way LSD, as most race cars do, 2 way LSD requires the driver to manage throttle and brake to give best possible traction in all situation. Unlike 1.5 way LSD that are commonly used on the street / street legal cars.
From the replica notes :

Static initial/preload at 28.
accel 48 / brake 45 ( neutral entry, very tight mid corner to exit )
accel 47 / brake 45 ( neutral entry, tight mid corner to exit )
accel 46 / brake 45 ( neutral entry, moderate mid corner to exit )
----accel 45 / brake 45 ( neutral all around - used on the tune )
accel 45 / brake 48 ( very tight entry, neutral mid corner to exit )
accel 44 / brake 44 ( slightly loose entry, slightly loose mid corner to exit ) - running lower will make the car more loose.

If you want to retain the braking/entry characteristics, leave the brake value alone, and lower the accel only :) By the way, have you installed body rigidity ?

Also if you prefer loose car / easy to throw around, try accel at 30 and brake at 30.

Yes! Understeer, missing the word. I installed body rigidity. I actually prefer rear tight cars, but I noticed that, despite the car does the corner ok, at midway it gets harder to steer, like you said it turns harder/tighter to complete the rest of corner (only on acceleration). It seens like the front of car lifts and the front wheels do not respond...

Im going to work with the numbers you gave and will leave feedback later.

Many Thanks.
Chats soon. :)

@Ridox2JZGTE

About the Audi R8 LMS Ultra Phoenix - Max Power Version, I had quite good results with LSD set finaly to 34, 34, 34 - 2:01.xxx, and once 2:00.xxx at Silverstone GP, RH, Camber, ABS 0 (5/4), GT3 Group Series.
Maybe you'll check this. 👍

@cbarbosa : I made a base tune for the Viper GT3R Replica, I might post the replica here :)

Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit_21.jpg

I also have the Plain Audi R8 LMS Utlra '12 base tune based on Phoenix Ultra, it has less downforce which requires some changes and further fine tuning

Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit_19.jpg

I also made a base tune for Emil Frey Jaguar G3 GT3 replica, the closest I can get for the weight is around 1300kg, much heavier than Blancpain 1200kg :(

Power wise it has 500HP with plenty of torque, it's slower than the Camaro :( But I am still going to fine tune the suspension and LSD :) The paint color is just for fun

@danbojte : thanks for the schedule, but I am too busy to watch them :(

You guys are so spoiled for choice :(.
All I've got to look forward to this weekend is the F1.
I'd love to know how Webber & the new Porsche go at Silverstone but no TV coverage for us down under :banghead:
I have TV coverage only for F1 & WTCC. For Blancpain events - you can watch them LIVE or, Live and Recorded later on Youtube here. ;) 👍

Notes :

I chose this Seat as it's rarely tuned and used :) It's in Pink with retro wheels so it will easily make other drivers distracted and the job of winning the race easier

I used different route for this build, the car was tuned at 450PP originally, for 470PP, I used lightweight approach, with less than 1000kg and maximizing HP within PP limit. I do not use ride height difference in this tune, and I focused on other parts of suspension to improve the car handling balance.

Suspension is stiff, as I felt the car has excessive body roll even with body rigidity improvement. The real Cupra often cited to have excessive body roll even with quite stiff KW V1 coilover kit. I settled for 10k/6k springs, damper and ARB has been tuned for responsive handling with good turn in under trail braking.
For LSD, I used 1 way, with medium preload and high locking rate to ensure maximum traction on low/medium speed exits.

Brake as minimum as possible on medium speed corners, the car can carry lots of speed through some of the corners, never afraid to go faster, just make sure to point at the right direction with good weight transfer :D For tight turns, the car can also brake very late, shift down quickly to help with turn in.

I tuned and tested at Tsukuba and Brands Hatch GP. The car is not very quick compared to my other Japanese FF cars, a 450PP J's Racing FIT Turbo RS can beat this 470PP Cupra in lap times at Tsukuba ( both on comfort soft ), and my TODA Racing Civic Type R 450PP eats both for breakfast with 1:04s lap on comfort soft.
The Ibiza Cupra can lap Brands Hatch GP on SH tires consistently in low/flat 1:39s. My best was 1:38s with 20.1s 1st sector, low/flat 35s 2nd sector and 1:14s last sector. If you have flat 20s 1st sector and 1:14s last sector, you are doing extremely good :D:tup:

Notes :

This MiTo is build by adapting the parts used on Autodelta 147 GTA :) So, in a way it's an AutoDelta MitO.

Suspension uses coilover kit adapted from Autodelta 147 GTA Sportsline Corse Coilover Kit, it's stiff but very capable on twisty circuit. Damper and ARB is tuned for stability and nimble handing. No ride height difference in this build.

LSD also used Autodelta 147 GTA, with high preload and progressive low locking ratio for street tire.

I really like driving this car, with about 30 minutes tuning, I spent considerable more time just driving it at Autumn Ring, it's addicting :P

The car can easily do 1:34s lap, with my best at low/mid 1:33s and the car should be able to do 1:32s, 1st sector should be in 31s with a good run 👍

Hi Ridox,

Good work on the builds for the FITT challenge. Glad to see you used real world tuning methods on the suspension & didn't take advantage of the ride height glitch.

That pink still burns my eyes though

Notes :
I built this replica upon request from a fellow member f1357924680, he asked for a different version of the FEED RX7 :)

So, after research and watching 2007 Hot Version videos of the car in action, I decided to build one.

The FEED Fujita Engineering FD3S produces 450PS using FEED T04RS Turbo Kit. Basically the FEED R7 is a street car with excellent tune ups. Weighing at 1260kg and a perfect balance of 50/50, the RX7 proved it's potential in the hands of Dori Dori.

Suspension comes from FEED PRO-F05 coilover damper kit, with 20kg/20kg spring rate, sadly GT6 do not allow such high value, so the highest I can set on both rear and front is 15/15. Still, with a fine tuned damper and ARB, the car gives exceptional response throughout the corner, with tuning aimed at balance just like Dori Dori often said in his review.

LSD is 2 way from FEED, this time I tuned for touge, which means high preload and medium locking rate. This gives the best balance between agility, traction and flexibility on the limit.

Gearing is stock, I have to correct this according to real life OEM 5 speed ratio, ignore 6th gear if wanted authenticity. The FEED RX7 uses FEED 4.1 Final Gear, which again gives the car rapid acceleration that worked well with the engine power delivery.

I mainly tuned and tested the car at Tsukuba. It easily lap Tsukuba on comfort soft at 1:04s.

ENJOY

Special build 500PP RX7 Racer based on FEED Fujita Engineering RX7 replica.

I made some changes, removing power parts and lower power to achieve 500PP mark, lighter body at 1150kg, lower rear aero at 25 for better balance of top speed and cornering.

LSD has been tweaked for easier drive and consistency, using low locking rate.

Gearing has been shortened for short to medium speed track, lower the final for more top speed, I recommend 4.700, 4.100 or 3.900.

This tune is very well balanced, able to tackle various corners with ease.

ENJOY

:) Thank you, the 500PP Feed RX7 can also be used to gold the SSR5 RX7 Seasonal.

Have you tried the Spirra tune ? I am curious if the car is good enough or not :scared:

Notes :
Kei Office S14 Zenki was driven by Dori Dori to demonstrate the basics of drifting, the car was not purpose built for drifting, it was a mild modified street car that can be driven hard at the track - either grip or drift. It was fitted with Yokohama GP M7 tire which is similar to comfort medium. Feel free to use higher grip tire for chasing lap time. For drift, comfort medium is the recommended tire for this tune. The car was tested and tuned at Big Willow and Bathurst. The tune is built to give driver confidence in high speed sweeping corners and agility in tighter turns, it can understeer when pushed too hard due to the fitted street tire, ease off the throttle to get the nose back in :)

UPDATE 1.04 : Damper changes.

Slapped this setup on my S14.

Absolutely blown away by this.

Took it to streets of willow, spent half an hour just blasting about, getting the back out when I wanted.

Feels like how I imagine the drift bible car to feel. Very chuckable. Lovely replica

More grip than I thought I'd get from comfort mediums 👍

(I did reduce camber to 0.0 for maximum grip)

Only gripe is the gearing is a bit long, but that's not your fault.

@cbarbosa : I made a base tune for the Viper GT3R Replica, I might post the replica here :)

Hello mate!

First of all, congrats for "GTPlanet Tune of the Week"! 👍

Awesome, im sure it will be another great one... Im still playing with the data I gave you in the PM I sent you, trying to feel the better numbers for the setup by driving the car... I feel im still far form finish it... :P

Many Thanks.

Chat soon. :)

PS: The stats you gave me regarding the 458 GT3 replica are working. After some changes based those stats, the car is starting to feel better, a little bit more loose...
