EDIT: And now Darren McGavin!

EDIT II:And yet, one more star, Dennis Weaver, has died!

He made some sweet, silly movies like my favorite The Reluctant Astronaut and as a gunslinger in The Shakiest Gun In The West. Don't forget TV shows like The Andy Griffith Show and Three's Company.

RIP Don! :(

Darren McGavin has died, too. Oddly, he stared with Don Knotts in a movie called "Hot Lead & Cold Feet" He also stared in the Christmas classic "A Christmas Story." His work is too long to list, but can be seen here... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0569000/

Heard about this on the radio last night. Kind of sad to see the old guy go, he was great on Three's Company. Speakin of that, that makes 2 of the 4 main characters gone already, which is crazy.
RIP Donny boy.

Three, actually. Norman Fell died a long time ago. He was Mr. Ropper.

NOOOOOOO!!!! Who's going to be herbie the love bug's mechanic now?

Don Knotts was great. It's sad to see him go. :(

BUMP

Darren McGavin has also died. Another actor I admired and loved to watch no matter what role he had!

One more great actor is going to die, since they appear to die in three's.

:indiff:

Oh man, now i'm going to cry every time I watch a christmas story.
RIP Darren McGavin...

It's pretty eerie how that happens, huh? Sure enough, right on time:

Dennis Weaver

Three American TV icons, all within a few days of each other...
Doh! You beat me to it. I was typing when you posted.

Another eerie coincidence is they all three had D for the first letter of their name. It means nothing but I thought it was odd just the same.

I couldn't believe my ears when the news said Dennis Weaver died on Friday.

You see, the stars die in three's.

I wasn't much of a Dennis Weaver fan. I liked Duel and that cocaine movie he made in the early '80s. He also did an episode of The Simpson's as an aging cowboy/western star. But, that's all I remember him from.
