Road Bikes (or Racing, if you wish)

So I've been riding my trusty Trek mountain bike for the past month or so about 10 - 15 mi every day. I know my bike is too small for me, and I think I should look into getting a road/racing bike. I've been looking around at the local bike shop, and know that somewhere down the line I'd like to get a LeMond bike, but for now I'm looking into something a little cheaper. Any suggestions? I'm not too concerened with weight.

Thanks.

I have a GT Outpost that came with Velociraptor tires on it. They are way to agressive for in-town riding so I changed them to slicks from Walmart and cut my average ride time to work from 15 minutes to 12. Next was an areobar that dropped that time to 10. My wife bought the bike for me for a wedding present for aroung $450 and I have since added around $150 more to it. It has been a great bike so far. I usually log around 600 miles a season, but this year was around 10 miles.

Man a new baby really eats into you time. :) Wouldn't change a thing, though. 👍

Let us know what kind of bike you decide on. Happy hunting.
