Damn it! Here i was about to try set a fast time with the Viper and i came upon this!

Not good Polyphony. How are we supposed to set lap times with these things in the way???? đź‘Ž :grumpy:

I had fun playing around with them anyway. :D First it was cones and brake markers (GT3). Then leaves and big brake markers (GTC), now cones again and huge road blocky things! Great addition to the game. đź‘Ť

And here is three of the four places you'll find these road blockers.

How did those road blocks get there,in the first batch of screens? There are no such thing in my game. What did u do to get those roadblocks to show up?

Someone has a little too much time on his hands.

Although I remember when I got to play the E3 demo last year and skidded off track and sent those things flying. Speaking of things that you can hit, maybe PD should stop making their tyrewalls out of concrete and use actual tyres instead. Heh, you could retire from the race from getting stuck in the tyrewall.

Yeah i just pushed them there. :)

Its quite hard actually as they like merging together and tipping over. :(

I failed one of the licence tests by sliding into one of those... that's how I knew they were there!!

When you look at the road block things carefully I think they look super realistic....the plastic criss-cross pattern looks 3D and its lighting and physics are amazing when you knock it over. I think it is one of the most detailed things on some circuits.

So thats why GT4 is going to be a year late!!

i'm glad polyphony haven't wasted all that precious time on creating something so meaningless! - Who needs more opponents/better A.I./some great new tracks/a decent paintshop etc etc - when you can have plastic barriers to kick about and a feature where you can 'photograph' your favourite Yaris outside an Italian Cafe from whichever angle you want!!!

Would you rather it was like Colin McRae 4 where upon hitting a small shrub you come to a grinding halt!

No, of course not - that would be silly now wouldn't it!

Don't get me wrong - i had hours of fun kicking the cones around in GT3 - i just think they could spend more time on things that would actually make it a better driving game.

I hate it when you take a corner, and the very back of of the car taps a corner wall or something (coming into the start/finish straight on beginner course for example) and the tyres lose all traction and the car just comes to a stop and skids for a while. That's the major downfall for me because I always manage to just do that for some reason. It'd be awesome if it spun the backend out and made you spin out. That's more realistic than stopping almost instantly and having the tyres skidding below you.
