What is the best car to use and with what settings?

You can ONLY choose from Miatas.
NO mods except tires and the virgin oil change.

I suggest using the LS on T2 or T3 tires.
Yes, one of the Miatas will take off and leave the pack.
Don't worry about him, he'll pit in for tires on lap 3 or 4.
You should be able to go 15 laps easily between pit stops. The bad news is that 3 of the 4 possible prize cars is another damn Miata.

...but if you are good enough you can pass him before he pits anyway, my best run is in the 67 minute mark, no TCS or ASM

I'll further amplify what Gil says. Settings don't apply since it is a stock Miata, but if you run it on T2 tires you can probably pit just once on lap 20. For a little more fun, run T4s and pit every 10 - 13 laps.

Any Miata with an oil change will win this race.

When I put R1 tires on a brand-new Miata RS and entered the 4 hr Roadster Endurance race, the game switched them to S2 "... to conform with the race."

And the AI cars are way past lap 10 without pitting...

Is anyone else getting this?
