Ronald Regan died today . He was 93 years old. I kinda liked the guy. He was the bridge between the touchy feely guilt of JimmyCarter to the fall of comunism and the Soviet Union. I'm shure everyone who lived through the times has an opinion on the guy.

He was far the best president we had, he was a lets get down to business type of guy. To bad Bush had to follow him and screw everything up, then Clinton, then Bush. Its just been a downfall since he's left office.

He will be missed.

:(

Really, my words here can never serve as enough of a tribute to this man.
Sincerly, my deepest feelings for any president ever are with Ronald Reagan.

I'm going to leave it at that because frankly, I'm getting broken up over this.

I just wish I could have known more of the man while he was still with us... atleast now I can learn of the legend.

Long live his memory and long live the America he represents.

Envy him, he got outta here before the donkey crap smacked the fan. I must say I was born after he left office, but I'm positive that he is far better than our current president, in everything from foriegn policy to spelling and grammar. Why can't we have a Roosevelt in office now?

Actually, in many regard the two are similar.

Fact is, both stood for what they believed was right, regardless of what some people may have said about the way things were being done.

Both of them believed that a nation's wealth was better off in the hands of the people and not the government.

And more importantly than any of that... I think they both have a hard work persona. A willingness to get their hands dirty and do work that you would need on a ranch, not in an office.

I like working outdoors, it's good for the soul. 👍
Working in a cubical, I hate it. :irked:
Then again, air conditioning is nice.

Anyway, atleast everyone has been respectful.
That is all I could ask for in this thread, and to anyone who would consider dis-respecting... thank you for not doing so, I do appreciate it greatly.

Of course, to Reagan.

Because Roosevelt was the worst president ever.

:D

But at the same time, teddy and frank both did things that could be seen as good. 👍

I would rather have franklin than harry truman. ;)

Then again, I would rather have truman than carter, so maybe carter is the worst.
:weakbackbone:
;)

I voted for Reagan in 1980, and voted for the other guy in 1984. While I disagreed with just about every policy decision Reagan made as president, it was hard not to like the guy. Unlike most of our present day politicos, I think he actually believed his rhetoric. Though it pains me somewhat to admit it, he may have been just what the country needed at the time. Rest in Peace Mr. Reagan; you mosly, if somewhat inadvertently, done good.

Nope, FDR was the worst. Carter isn't even close on the list.

Definitely not. You either forget about the founding fathers, or you're not thinking straight.

Regan was an awesome president. He had the right ideas about government. He also had a good run, 93 years with 2 presidential terms ain't to shabby.

In my mind, he was gone years ago. I think this is just an excellent chance for Nancy to get some closure.

Hmmm. . . all FDR did was see America through the great depression and WWII, from his seat in a wheelchair. What a dork!

RIP Reagan, I never even knew about him, but i watched about him on the news, and learned a lil about him, he was a gr8 guy

i sniff republicans......which is odd.
