Just been looking at the playseats site and seen these. I haven't seen them before and am tempted by both:

Playseats Rookie:

The WRC looks perfect. I especially like steering wheel bar being there compared to the Evolution. However, is the Rookie good enough for less than half the price?

Has anyone got the Rookie? Whats the seating position like (F1 style) and how comfortable is the seat after extended periods of time sat in it?

Anyone got the WRC and got any feedback?

I have the Playseat WRC. I'm selling it together with my g25 or without it, whatever. It's that good.

They're old stuff, I saw them ages ago. To be honest the Rookie doesn't float my boat, it looks good and it appears it has some of the innovations of the WRC but I'm not sure if it's compatible with the gear-stick holder and generally with the G27. The WRC seat is plainly awesome, looks great in design and in function but $600 is really a bummer, it also is at Amazon.com in case you want to have a look at them and maybe find consumer reviews:

The WRC looks much better made IMHO. And the seat in the rookie looks downright uncomfortable. :( It looks like hard plastic with only slight rubber/padding. My 2 cents...

What don't you like about it?

If you are larger than 1m80 (I'm 1m85), you will have problems positioning the steering wheel at a comfortable (read: far and high enough) position. Also, my shoulders are touching the headrest (the 2 flappy things top left and right of the seat). And it's very dificult to enter the seat with a mounted gearshift holder. Oh, and the steering wheel bar, it's veeeeerrryyyy loose. If you tear it hard enough, it will detach. Otherwise, the seat is comfy.

You really are selling it? Cuz if you give a good price I might be able to buy it .

I'm 1.88, so thanks for the advice 👍

Maccie when you used the setup did it flex a lot or was it pretty sturdy?

BTW I don't find major problems with the bar being in the middle. Just adjust the bottom pedal mount and adjust the length of the seat and you should be fine.

You're welcome 👍

I didn't like it when I used it btw. They really need to get it more stable. And the pedal plate needs to be adjustable too, the angle looks and feels way too steep for me.
