Im Just looking for a explanation of some general practices of tuning in Gt4.
I dabble here and there but dont mess with things i dont completely understand.
Im looking to get to a level where everything i change i change completely knowing how it will affect the vehicle. Tall Order? of course to the extent of the games realism, i know things wont work perfectly.
Basically how things relate to each other, (when i change one thing, what should i be considering?)
I also know this is a complicated thing to explain but if this thread keeps going it might serve as a good start for many other rookies.

Thanx.

It completely depends on the car and what the problem is.
I always buy a racing trasmission and sports brakes for every car I use. It's also a very good idea to buy the racing transmission. You just gotta play around, man. If a car is really loose try adding some downforce by buying a wing for it. Mess with the driving aides, or with the weight balance. If the car doesn't turn sharp enough, mess with the suspension and driving aides, etc. I always test my cars on Laguna Seca because it's a great track to test a car's handling. I usually lighten a car about 1/5 of the way down.
