Round 7-5?

I've never been any good at driving in the rain on GT (especially that stupid Super GT race in cockpit view), but I really want to get the GT-R Black Edition for my GT5 game. It's mostly just a straight shot, with a couple of turns.

My main problem with 7-5 is with the first significant curve, I'm supposed to be able to take it at speed, but even with just coasting and turning I still fall off the track if I try to take it at speed, but if I brake I lose significant position with the second place car. Also, my car keeps losing stability on the wet track.

Right after passing the yellow S15 Silvia from the left side, immediately take position for the 1st left curve by staying on the right then quickly steer to the left to hit the inside while slightly lifting off the throttle - do not brake, you should be able to take this curve at speed of at least 235km/h, then you should be able to reach 265 km/h behind the blue R34 GTR on the last straight - make a pass here and lightly tap the brake before the last left curve to end the trial.

Passing the 2nd car red R32 GTR can be done from the left or right, left is riskier for hitting or going off track. Good luck :)

Similar to what Ridox said, don't let off the accelerator until you get to the first significant right-hander. You may be able to take the first major right-left before the harder corner flat out, if you're car is settled from passing the lead Silvia. There's a little straight between the two lefts before the finish line, that is where your braking should be. It should be a medium to hard braking zone, but get the braking done before the turn, trail braking isn't as easy in the rain.

It's possible to stay flat on the throttle all the way up the hill and you only need to brake for the tight left hander before the finish. The thing to really concentrate on is the line. Keep it tight to the left hand side of the track until you pass the yellow Silvia then let the car move to the right hand side before the first significant curve you mention. Shift into sixth gear before the bend and try to turn in tight and nice and early.

You should get around no problem and then you can pick up the slipstream of the red car which you should pass on the outside and then you pick up the last car's draught. Again just keep it flat as you approach the right hander and you can sweep past going into the next gentle left hander.

It gets trickier towards the end because you need to scrub a lot of speed to allow you take the final bend so brake good and early.

Lift-off over-steer around it. I did and still finished .5 seconds ahead of the gold time.

Thanks everyone! I got gold on it! (33.695), What helped me around the first corner was tapping the brakes a little bit, then coasting around, I was able to go through at 130+ mph (there was one time I got to 140+ through, but I failed).

The other obstacle after that was making a clean pass of the red car, Ridox was right, I was never able to pass from the left (I only tried one time, didn't have enough room on the track), passing from the right is also tricky, I must have slightly nicked the car a dozen times before making a clean pass, after that, it was just staying on the road, the 1st place car was easy to pass.

EDIT: Playing it GT4 style with the hood cam also helped.

First kink little lift but you need to hit the inside or you´ll get dq´d for leaving Track (going to wide at the exit).
As said 230-240kph.
After that get the Draft of the GTR, pass him right better for line etc..
For the last oponent pass him on left and ty to get the Turn in 4th at 170-180kph and bam you have a gold time probably a very good one.

You dont have to lift at all for the left kink. Move right after you pass the first car and turn in early for the left kink. You'll slide a little but then the car will hook. You should have the left tires in the grass.

Yeah, you don't need to lift but I would try to keep the tyres off the grass as grip levels drop if you do. I know it's a bit riskier but if you pass the red GTR on the left you have a better line for the next right hand bend. I posted a 27.218 so far but I was a bit messy at the final bend.

This must be a typo, I show the #1 time as 31.714, I am kind of proud of my 31.939 which shows as #99 right now.
Passing the red car on the left seems to give a better/faster line going into the right hander where I then rear end the last car.

It wasn't a typo, I mistakenly quoted the wrong time (my 7-1 time)! :dopey: I did a 32.010 on 7-5.

After you pass the yellow Silvia, you can take the next corner (left curve) at max speed.

I did it, and I got a time of 0:31.882 (121st place all regions) with a bit bad/slow last curve to the finish...
