This tread is for people to vote what might be the last event on GTA,
I am divided, i am 90% sure that the car will be a tuned black edition, but the course and challenge, well that is what i am thinking on,

My choices would be,
1. 1 lap time trail on Twin Ring Motegi with traffic
2. 1 lap time trail on Nurburgring with 16 cars,

The reason I am divided is that, Motegi vs Nurburg well, here is some stats on the tracks,
-------------------------------------------------------------------
track length- Nurburgring 14 miles(Northern loop) Twin Ring- 3 miles (road)
track corners- Nurburgring 154 turns Twin Ring- 14 turns
difficultly- Nurburg- HIGH Twin Ring- average
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Its really a choice on the PD team if they want to host the final event on
Twin Ring because no one as ever raced it with GT5 physics with a GTR for that matter. or will they judge on the ability to run consistent laps on the arguably the most difficult track in the racing world. What do you think?
Challenging event on the ring to decide the winner, or grinding away on a 3 mile course for 2 weeks till a winner is decided.

I firmly believe that Motegi will be the host for 8-5. I believe this for a few reasons:

1. The GTA is supposed to be a test to see who can be a great driver. If they pick a car that wasn't available in GT4, no one can really practice the exact lap.

2. This formula will set a pretty level footing for everyone, allowing the best to rise to the top.

3. Since they've had time to scrutinize it, they can set the boundaries well, to minimize the dreaded cutting. The double/triple apex cones make it harder, but better.

New car and new track.

Another GT-R? :banghead: Say it isn't so... but it probably is.

If they made it the new N24, then I suppose I might retract that. That car might actually make sense given the type of racing GTA grads will do.

no traffic, but do 10 laps in a row without cheating on Twin Ring Motegi (maybe Nurb), that would show the skill

I do hope if it is just about a single lap time they allow us to hot lap, rather than doing one lap and restarting because that's not realistic at all. In real life you wouldn't do one lap at a time then stop and go to start another lap. You go round and round.

Also would prefer they just give red laps and let you continue rather than failing you and making you restart.

That's what I hate about the Vettel challenges, you don't have a chance to get a flow going because one mistake and you fail. I want to be able to do lap after lap until I get a good one in.

It will be hell with Nissan Leaf vertical climb test:
GOLD: stand this challenge for 3 hours
SILVER: stand this challenge for 2 hours
BRONZE: stand this challenge for 30 minutes

Motegi without traffic.
I personally think an honest time trial is a better way of determining skills in GT than a real race. The AI is a bit too 'dumb' to be used as real competitors and there are too many ways to (ab)use the AI drivers for your benefit.
Getting the best times with AI in GT usually means doing stuff you wouldn't ever think of doing in real life.

As far as the track goes: Nurburgring is too long. Memorizing the track and then improving on the driving line etc. takes so much longer for the Ring than for any other track that it would be unfair to people who've never driven the track. Motegi is a lot easier to memorize, but still has a nice variety of corners. It has a bit too many (boring) straights for my taste, but I think it would be a good track for GTA.

I think it will be the GT-R Tuned hotlapping twin-motegi, with red laps if cone hit or corners cut etc. if it's not hotlapping at least 2-3 laps with NO TRAFFIC!! and total or average time taken for the result.
