Route X - Possible second route theory.

Route X  Theory

Just had my first run online around Route X, as the DLC has not released on the store yet down here.

I have a theory that there is another track option, starting at the blocked 3rd pit tunnel, going out and up around and over main track via the large banked corner...

This other "option" re enter's the track about halfway down the second straight after the low control tower in the center (you will note the red barrier with road etc behind it rejoining main "Route" Turning the car round and looking back at this point you can see an almost S shaped vertical banked corner with a transition in the middle looking at this and where it all meets up it seems as though it could be another track option,

Side and separate note it looks like there is a "runway" or 1/4 mile track to the right as you are coming down the back side of the bridge on straight one... video uploading will post here shortly 👍

VERY INTRIGUED!

It would be pretty cool, I just want to get the actual DLC so I can do a run and watch the replay to see if there is anything else you can catch in the detail...

It may be more or less a road for the shipment of containers to the ships by trucks. That is what I am currently thinking. I have not explored the track in photo mode during a replay on the track yet.

Always thought about this myself. I just need to buy the track or do a race online to get some photos of it.

The corner behind the red wall has way too much banking for shipment vehicles to go on.

I like that the sailboats and container ships are moving. I was just racing trial mountain and always thought that there should be a train going across the bridge sometime. Nice touch PD.

I got the impression that you could test for max g with the track dlc so maybe it has more than an oval.

looks like you can test max-g reading from the screens in the preview it seemed.

but the "oval" corners are low g for high speed hence 3km length

this gives even more cred in my mind to the near vertical s in the middle of the track...i'm going to get on shorty and take some screens

also got GT-R black to 432km/h drafting someone lol 👍

maybe they enable it later for another 5 Euro..... 👎

Maybe it's not a track, but a whole landscape of tracks, and you can purchase them bit by bit. Like a running theme. And you can only buy the later tracks if you bought the earlier tracks. So if five tracks down the road an absolutely amazing track is going to be offered, you actually need to buy them all in order to use it. At least that would be one way to make money.

Has anyone done photo mode on route X yet? I just viewed it and there is nothing there. Just a reservoir like area for water, no signs of anything for a track at all.

yea that was kind of my thought, it does kinda make sense who knows complex string could be hidden up there hehind all that concrete, it just seems too sus in my mind what with the lane 3 option being blocked off by red blocks and the "exit" on the other side is the same ...*fingers crossed*

I'm actually following that entire route in photo mode right now (and it's taking forever, mind you). The track runs directly beside the main track, coming out of the big tunnel on route 3 (the main track comes out on route 2). I followed it all the way through the tunnel, and even though the lights are turned off on route 3, you can clearly see the road is fully rendered, with lines on the road and everything. Unfortunately my game froze as I came out of the backend of the tunnel, so I wasn't able to follow it the rest of the way. I'll try again later.

Did you guys also notice that in the route x testing there is an acceleration test and beside that a g-force test which has a figure 8 logo. Seems a bit weird for an oval course.

Almost looks like those other areas are not finished yet. If they were going to let us drive on them, you'd think they would have barriers along the sides. The way it is right now, looks like a car could drive right off the side. Unless they have a lot of those 'nice" invisible walls everywhere.

Hope it means there is a testing course in the middle. Right now this track looks pretty, but after getting your high speed, what's the point. So if there is, when do we get to drive on it? I hope soon, cause I just bought a track that I will very rarely use. Unless they plan on giving us more with it.

Also, if it is there, it should be available to drive on at the same time as the rest of the track. Sure, make it so you can have the other sections blocked off, but then also have a "free roam" where you can go back and forth at leisure between the oval and any other areas there are.

Tried it out last night. The G-Force test is just what the car does under acceleration and not cornering. At least, not that I saw.

Topped out at around 232 mph in my Audi RS6. The Aventador did 221 unmodified and 243 modified.

Only got the X2011 up to 313.2 or so. I think I'm going to have to do that one again.
