RS200 Colors

I had a Ford RS200 for quite a while. I never drove it until now. It is a white one. I wondered if there are any other colors so I did the easy Grand Canyon race again to see. When I did it I got another white one. I then did it again thinking that I just got a repeat color. Sure enough it was. This time I got a red one. This leads me to ask the question: What colors does the RS200 come in? It seems like a peppy little car and I wouldn't mind having a better color. I just first need to know what colors those are. :)

I'm pretty sure it is only 2 (3 counting the rally car), but if you have any questions about car colors in the future you could look in arcade mode.

Thanks for the reply. You are right, I could have checked arcade mode. Truth be told, though, I never even thought about it. :ill: I never use arcade mode. I probably would if I could use the cars from my garage, but since I can't I don't even bother with it. I do get tired of doing 2-lap races in sim mode. It would be nice to do a race with more laps every once in a while with my favorite cars.

another glitch is the RS200s actually had 650 HP!while the game gives it 250 HP!

Wrong.

250 BHP (road) 450 BHP (works) - (Road car rose to 350 BHP by end of program)

The Evo had a 2.1 litre engine (up from 1.8) supplying 650bhp, but it is not in GT4.

There was also a 350hp package available for the 1.8 litre, an example of this car is in GT2.

Yep,only in red and white, another glitch is the RS200s actually had 650 HP!while the game gives it 250 HP!

There also was a black and yellow one ordered from the factory, check the link.

Saw it on a TV show, but then they cut it down to 250.👎

Nope they were originally type approved for 250bhp and the 1.8BDT would have seriously struggled to get near that figure at the time.

If you are keeping up then you will know that the starting place for the 200's were a 1.8 Litre BDT engine, type approved at 250 BHP although two power upgrades, 300 and later 350 were offered as a kit or a upgrade.

The 2.1 Evos officially saw 450bhp, although higher figures have been thrown around, none were 'official' at the time.

One very special RS200E does however exist (and yes I have posted this up before - but its worth it), Mach2 Racing's RS200E Pikes Peak, as driven by Stig Blomqvist.

That ones been confirmed at 840bhp and I saw it run (with Stig Blomqvist behind the wheel) at Castle Combe back in 2003.

Raced in 1989 I believe, on a limited basis. I do know that it competed in the San Antonio 1hr and was a DNF as a result of an accident.
