Is it still possible? GT5 is more of a collection game for me right now after having done all of the A-SPEC races a long time ago. Also, my X1 doesn't go faster than 430 anymore...working as intended?

If anyone has the link to our old rubber band FAQ / mega topic: I'd be grateful if you'd post it. I couldn't find it anymore.

With the amount of seasonal events that have nice payouts you shouldnt have to really rubber band anymore.

X1 sounds like it needs an engine rebuild.

It was a brand-new prototype. I still have some unused ones left, so I thought it's a good time to pop one open. :P

Rubber banding Aspec on like the wind was broken by the increased resistance of the walls to the X2010 ages ago you no longer win.
You will constantly lose the like the wind event and it will lose you XP per min but it still has a higher pay out in credits.
If you want creds do "like the wind"
If you want XP do "dreamcar"

With the up to X2 bonus now, ranking up with out even driving A spec a single lap your self is now faster per day.

Random le mans AI car can cause your X2010 to spin out with a random bump on "like the wind".
This does not happen on "dream car" as the cars are not Le mans class and you pass them all on lap 1

The top speed of the X2010 should hit 255mph/408KPH grinding the straight walls.
But thats never been the problem, the problem is the corners can drop you down to 159MPH/254KPH.

Well, well - XP isn't of much interest for me, I've been level 40 before the XP buff already. :) But thanks a bunch, I guess I'll just do some seasonal events then and try to fix the broken setups. :)

New X2011 DLC re-enables this on like the wind but you have to get lucky with the AI selection
and you must set aero to 50/50
steering must not be turned at all and tyres must be racing hard.

TC setting 5
ASM off
SRF off

Every thing else default settings.

On the back of the track you will clip the grass and steer back on to the track.
lap times should be 43 seconds

If I were you I'd keep rubber banding. Ive done the ferrari seasonal so many times now I'm about to blow my brains out.

Make money while you sleep, dont go crazy 👍

profit.

Dreamcar Championship a-Spec AutoPilot will give you (with the login bonus of 200%) 174.000 Cr. every 8 minutes.

That's about 180 races/24hrs = 31.320.000 Cr. per day! :dopey:👍

Love the new 200% login bonus. Even online racing has now a very good payout. Try it out. :sly:

WTF is the point of rubber banding , play the game as its meant to be played , -- the emphasis is on the word GAME , i think there are way too many people with too much time on their hands , get out and get some fresh air !! stop living in a make believe world -- jeez

There are always lazy people who want to cheat their way in this game, just play the game as its ment to be played!

People with too much time on their hands are guys like you. :dunce:

Rubber banding actully saves your time. You shouldn't need to "grind" in a game, it's a bad design. You should spend your time on better things, f.e. buying all 1076 (+ if you collect the different variations) cars, tune & repaint them, collect all museum cards, horns, gears & tickets, take some photos, create some awesome b-bobs, watch GT tv, play online, ... :sly:

If you love grinding in a circle, then keep it up & enjoy it. I bet you love Nascar as well. Oh and btw. we can go out & get some fresh air (or sleep), while you are happy grinding in a circle...

@OP: here's the original thread: Fully Automatic A-Spec Grinding - *Video and picture*

You are the one who got too much time to waste on grinding. People who hardcore gamed = totally no life. Most of us got a life, we let rubber band do the job.

I'll never understand this whole "grinding is cheating" thing. I want to spend my time in the game racing a wide variety of cars, not mindlessly running around over and over and over doing the same seasonals, against a series of cars I can pass as if they are standing still. My garage is full so I don't need to rubber band anymore, but if you need to do it then go for it. I got to 35 the hard way and then filled my garage while I slept, worked and did other things, while the hard core guys were sitting in front of their tv grinding away for a couple of hundred thou over and over and over, for dozens and dozens of hours.

Having said that, if doing the same seasonals over and over is your thing, go for it. Just don't crap on someone else's shoes because they chose a different route to fill their garage.

Be aware its still not perfect the AI is programmed to drive different randomly in GT5 2.0 after 6 hours the AI crashed the car x2011 out into a Wall.
So would suggest checking every 3 hours if you can.
Now that the steering is not needed its one less rubber band/ peace of cardboard as well. Ill do a new Video with the X2011 setup on screen.

The reason this car works is because PD lied the car engine has more BHP than the vettel version with 1635 BHP when you add that to the reduced drag you can now go faster.

Players have no difficulty going out of their room unless you're awfully glued to the screen of the TV or heavily physically-handicapped so that you can't move yourself at all... Time is not provided just to do wasteful things for those assuming a game is a recreation.

Just got back after finishing the shopping.
And its grinded up to +19 Mill.
With out me driving a single lap.
Can catch up on Two and a half men. ( Or not New series is way below par )

Very poetic, I like it! :D:tup:

Erm mate i think you got the wrong end of the stick , i don't "grind" as you put it at all , like i say i have a life , mainly work , physical exercise , and my rock band which is getting ready for its first gig , i'm not a rain coat gt5 addict , swapping paint , and collecting digital bits and pieces , i enjoy playing gt5 from time to time but thats it . As for driving round in circles , yes i do that , but only when i'm lost in a real car .

Personelly I dont grind but its wrong of you to tell this guy, He paid good money for his game and if he wants to grind thats his decision not you to tell him its wrong. OP and the rest, if you want to grind go and do it dont listen to the naysayers on here its your game.
