RUF GT 8 at Sonoma and Replays

I'm having a very hard time with the RUF GT 8 at Sonoma. I don't like this car very much. I just want to win this race and move on but I'm too slow. I can't figure out how to get faster. Usually I view leaderboard replays. Is there any way to view leaderboard replay in pCars?

Racing against ghosts helps a little but doesn't tell you what you're doing wrong.

I suspect I'm messing up that big down hill turn or that uphill turn after the start.

Any suggestions?

Practice a lot. Sonoma is a tough track to really dial in, with understeer and oversteer corners throughout the layout. I've only run it once in the Mustang Trans-Am car and it was tough to get a handle on all the ups and downs. I don't think you can watch leaderboard replays. It should also be mentioned that you don't have to win. There are no prizes or anything so you could just run the race, take your lumps and see what happens. Or as @Trux says, just turn down the difficulty slider for that race.

Be aware that there are quite a few off-camber turns at Sonoma. They'll throw you off the track very easily

I just hate losing races and seeing those fake tweets about how I lost. lol.

I hope they patch the game to allow people to view leaderboard replays with telemetry data.

Yeah they're pretty brutal with their tweets, just like real Twitter but without the profanity:lol:

I'm not using a RUF but am having a real hard time cornering at speed on Sonoma in the Focus invitational. The car just doesn't seem to want to take corners at speed due I guess to the off-camber nature of the track. Is this something to do with how I'm setting up the straight via the previous corner? Those loser tweets really hurt.

[EDIT] Oops... please ignore this request as I went back the next day and everything clicked into place. Probably not a good idea to do kart and Focus races back to back. Guess it just goes to show how wide the range of different driving styles covered in the game are. I deserved those loser tweets.

It is indeed testament to the work SMS put into various kind of car handling, that you can't just hop between them without a period of readjustment
