Welcome to the Weekly Race Series
The following rules apply to all WRS events unless race-specific rules state otherwise.
Game mode :
The Game Mode (GT or Arcade) to be used will be defined in the opening post for each race.
Car specifications :
The car to be used, as well as allowed quick tuning and settings will be defined in the opening post for each race.
Race rules :
Standard clean OLR rules :
- 2 wheels on track at all time ;
- rumble strips are part of the track ;
- no contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible ;
- no contact with AI ;
- if you're not 100% sure that you lap is clean, then consider it dirty ;
- no hybrids ;
- no cheating of any kind ;
- nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules ;
- save your replay (save ghost icon).
Thread rules :
You can discuss anything in the forum (T times, sector times, speeds, settings, etc) except :
- lap time ;
- final race time ;
- any information which can be used to infer lap/race time.
Submission :
All submissions must be sent to me by PM (flat-out).
- you can submit only once per race ;
- please include in your submission PM your division, name and time(s) ;
- deadline is each tuesday, 9pm GMT (or L.A. 1pm, New-York 4pm, London 9pm, Paris 10pm, Tokyo wed. 6am, Sydney wed. 8am).
Time verification :
Save your replay and keep it at least a full week after the time has been submitted.
- top division 1 drivers each week will be required to submit with verification. Replays must be posted in .max, .xps, or .sps format.
- any submitted time is subject to a time verification request ;
- when a time verification has been required, the concerned racer must provide a replay within 3 days ;
- failure to do so will result in the submitted time to be removed for the WRS results and/or GTPlanet Times Database ;
- video captures are not an acceptable means of verification. The use of a file transfer device such as a Max Drive, AR Max, Sharkport, or X-Port must be used when your time needs to be verified. The only other means of verification would be to mail a spare memory card with your race replay to the nearest trusted member of the WRS.
- not being able to meet the standards above will only keep you out of the races until you can meet the standards, once you can meet the standards you will be re-admitted without any trouble.
- only offenses such as cheating and "trouble making" will permanently ban you from racing in WRS related events.
- keep in mind, we have a large group of well known and verified drivers, if you submit a time that looks outlandish, you will be asked to verify that time. Please don't take it personally, we just want to make sure everyone is racing clean.
Division moves :
The division you race in depends on the qualifying time you submitted. However, racers who regularly submit times among the fastest ones in their division can be promoted to the upper division.
Demotion is also possible, but only on request from the concerned racer.
