Don't know about zoom
To pick a car. YOu don't really pick, you save the game BEFORE it gives you a prize car, then get the car, and if it's NOT the one you want of the 4 cars, go to the main menu and click LOAD GAME. Now go back, to where it gives you the prize car, and do this over and over until you get the car you want.
Sounds complicated, but it isn't. It might sound hard from the way I just half-ass typed it too.

The zoom feature was only in the demo cd and was taken out from the acutal game.
