Hello guys, work with me on this......

I have recently been racing with quite a few forum members and it has been such a blast with great racing and the upmost respect for each other, this is were the idea has come from to organise this event

This event is only open to RWD Cars and 4WD Cars because these are the most popular used in current online race events.

It will be a RWD v RWD and 4WD v 4WD race event.

This event is open to any gtplanet forum member not just GTP_ tagged members and if possible members from various other GT forums.

If you are wanting to take part please post your interest in this thread stating your PSN ID, this will make it easier for me to add you to the Drivers List.

Haha, it seems a lot of people like organising these.

Well, I don't see any problems with the organisation of this one, it seems you have avoided what potentially ruined the last two (organised group races every 3 minutes and no set times). So lets see what we can improve with this one.

The only things we haven't tried yet is setting specific cars, I'm wondering whether this would be more interesting. I dont think it would be a good idea to set a specific car to each forum, because this may give too big an advantage (and it might be annoying for some people), but it would be interesting if we all had to use the same car, espcially if its one that we dont see a lot of (unlike R8's, Evo X's, etc).

It might be cool to extend it over more than an hour and maybe alternate tracks each hour (Suzuka, Fuji, Suzuka, Fuji) or even alternate PP classes to mix it up. However, the main appeal of the last two inter-forum battles was that quite a lot of practice racing ended up taking place before hand (which was in some cases more fun that than the event itself), so it might be best just to stick to one track so this happens.

Just throwing ideas around :)

This sounds very good, as long as there was a tune set up for whatever car decided upon, i think some people, well i know myself i couldn't get into a car and try to set it up, i wouldn't want to miss the event just because my car responds badly with me at the wheel and i'm responsibly for putting a Tag of track:dunce:

Unless it an event aimed at the tags amongst you.

I'm sure I could get the tuners to cook up at least 3 different tunes, so that's not a problem.

Maybe a full day of racing since its on a weekend and keep changing the tracks.

Might be a good idea, but perhaps also keep the pre-arranged times so we still have some organisation. Also, keep the 21.00 race start time and just say "practicing for the race commences 2 days before hand at xx.00, xx.15, xx.30 and xx.45 Thursday and Friday."
Last time, we went with no organisation and it didn't really work very well, so I think we should stick to having a pre-determined time, as some people will get lazy and come in too late or whatever and not synch up with anyone, or just get unlucky.

may also be worth adding if you don't get in at the pre-determined time through cannot connect to host, re-enter straight away in case of too many drivers and not enough space, therefore at least 8 races in the hour, with two races going at 15 minutes intervals, hoefully finishing within a minute of each other

At the moment the Suzuka 600 races are mainly RWD and 4WD cars so I propose to organise this event with 2 classes:

RWD cars at certain start times eg 21:00 - 21:15 - 21:30 - 21:45 and so on

4WD cars at certain start times eg 21:05 - 21:20 - 21:35 - 21:50 and so on

The reason for only a short amount of race time eg 1 - 2 hours is to try to dominate/concentrate the online races with as many forum participants as possible and hopefully the majority of races will be hosted by forum members limiting disconnections. I chose 21:00 UK start time as that time was the most popular in the last events like these.

I do prefer event with the same car for all but I will compete in any case 👍

The beauty is though that quite a number of 4WD Cars are capable of winning the 4WD Race event and same can be said for the RWD Cars. Thankyou for your participation:tup:

I will be doing both if is thats allowed.

You are Free to take part in as many events as you like 4WD or RWD, you can swop and change as much as you like, so long as you try to stick to the events schedule.👍
