I spent many hours with no success trying to get a setup for this car that handles well. I am sure others are having a difficult time with this car too.
Now that I was able to swap it to the 787b engine I had a breakthrough and found a setup I'm happy to use and share with you.
(Styled like the Rx-7 GT-C LM race car from GT2)
Wide car. Custom wing, all the other goodies.
The car is calibrated to use Racing tires. I had to make some concessions to balance out the car. You would think a 50/50 weight distribution would be best, but this car does not favor that. The ballast settings are necessary to help the car not feel light at the front / very loose at the rear. If you move the ballast forwards or backwards the car will feel either one of those traits.
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think!
Here are 3 setups for the car: 700pp/Unlimited/Speed focused.
700pp
This car is heavier but handles well IMO. I took it to Lemans for the 30 minute race and won easily, even after being caught in the rain on slicks. It is a steer with the throttle kind of car in the wet. Only had to to pit ONCE.
Unlimited
(This can dropped easily to 800pp with the power restrictor)
This setup maintains a minimum ballast to keep the handling balance I needed for it to track straight and hold G's in high speed corners. This setup maintains the same gearbox settings as the 700 tune.
INSANE acceleration with the 4 rotor. It is my fastest tested modified street car on Sardegna Track C.
Be smooth on the throttle and the car can be well managed.
Speed Tuned
This is a basic speed tune. Will achieve over 440 kph on it's own. Only the gearbox and downforce are updated.
