S License

Is it even possible to pass an S lic. test with an auto?

The best I got was 1:36.6-- on S-8

I beat S-8 with the manual, after I ran into the wall 6 times while trying to shift.

I always use a manual for everything.


I had to use a manual transmission on the S, or I wouldn't have passed it...

I haven't played that long and deff. not with a manual, i passed both of the tests so far i've tried with it.  that would be the first and second.  but the second one took me a good while.  still passed it though.

i found if you fly into the turn, slam the brakes, then turn with no little no acceleration  period of time, then you can go around the corner faster then the comp.  sooo how i do it is when you are going into a turn you slam the brakes and give it gas.  I don't know if i really explained myself good, and if i did this idea will work with everyone, but it atleast works with me.

I won every license using a/t. I never use manual unless i have an under powered car that easily goes out of the power band.

I passed them all with an automatic.  If i had read that it may be easier with a manual, i would definitely have tried that!  It literally took me well over 100 tries to pass S8!!!!

AT for me, passed all S licence tests with it.
Also managed all golds on GT2 with auto, but for 2 or 3 where I used manual.
Everyone has their preference's, in some cases in the past I have done better on manual, but very rarely.

Passed all licenses with auto tranny. S-8 on second try earlier today! I had driven the track lots in arcade though. And you guys had me so worried, I held off doing my S-License til I was over 65% complete!

A/T all license before playing arcade and GT. Pass all S-license basically in 1-3 tries. none of them is gold of course. All gold in B, A.

im on S-7 right now and i haven't tried a manual in the entire game yet at all. I never even thought about it. Wierd cus i am a big proponent of the racing style manual.
